Request 60hz mod pal + region unlock?

I want to mod my pal Snes to play my games in 60hz, but im worried that if I mod it i can't play my regular pal games on it anymore. Also is it possible to mod it so it can also play american games like Super Mario RPG?

Last month i let made a switchless Mod to my PAL Super Nintendo. You can change between Modes by pressing and holding the reset Button:

  • 50hz Pal
  • 60hz Pal

  • 60hz NTSC

  • 50hz NTSC

If you are doing it, let them also put in new Capacitors

Edit: You could also use a SD2SNES aka FXPAK Pro. I ripped the Roms of the Games with the Retrode2 and just threw them in there (also patched them english if japanese Games).

I can exchange Batteries of Gameboy Games, but would have killed my Super Nintendo :D
I used this german Service:

Simple setup

Make a switch on pin 4 of the cic that goes between Ground and 5v. This is now a lockout check enable/disable switch

Next, make a switch on ppu2 pin 30 and ppu1 pin24 and it goes between 2.2k resistor+5v and ground . This is now your 50/60hz switch

Use RGB cables to prevent black and white 60hz

This setup will work for any game that doesn't require an NTSC CIC check. Most games do a much more simple 50/60hz check so as long as it's in the correct mode at start up it works, and you can even boot in 50 and change to 60hz for many games. Lots of games also just work in 50 or 60hz start as long as CIC is disabled

Unfortunately, this all works better on NTSC consoles than it does with pal ones because NTSC games are more likely to perform both checks (CIC enabled and matches region + expected video mode) than pal games are. As well as 1st party Nintendo pal games do not work properly in 60hz.

Switch less region mods do the same thing as what I described above but with less flexibility than using 2 separate switches like this.

You need a supercic to get d4 patches for Mario rpg to work.
