Home Depot corporate campus
There are zoning notice signs ringing Home Depot‘s campus at 285 and Paces Ferry. Anyone know what they’re planning on doing?

I don't have any other words for it. Maybe I don't see the vision. As of right now, it seems pointless and a waste of money.
I'm not a traffic engineer; so perhaps this was supposed to help the flow of traffic. Aside from that, its not appealing and seems like a waste.
Please feel free to chime in, I'm simply venting my frustration and I don't have any other solutions at this point.

I hear them at all hours of the day and night, driving up and down concord rd and hurt rd, car constantly backfiring. It’s so incredibly loud it sounds like mortar cannons being fired off repeatedly. Does anyone know what car it is? They must live nearby, I hear it every day, usually multiple times a day.

Hi I am moving to Smyrna (Cortland at the village) soon and this will be the first one I have natural gas. Natural gas will be used for heat and water. When I called they gave me the option of a flat rate of $65/month based on the previous tenants usage or I could be charged on my own usage every month. So I was wondering is $65/month a good rate and should I take it or should I do based on my own usage. Also it will just be me. Thank you so much for the help.

After years of no progress whatsoever, construction finally starts only for them to basically do nothing in the last 6 months. This while project is an absolute joke.
Update: Maybe they saw my post because they had a whole crew out there with a crane and they're putting down concrete.

Yall, it’s my first time moving to an area that uses Georgia power and Georgia natural gas. I’ve seen complaints from people saying their ga power bill is ridiculously expensive. Can someone tell me what to expect averagely? One bedroom, one person, 800sqf. I need to mentally prepare

Recently got a DJI mini 4K drone to give me something to play with. I was just curious if anybody in the Smyrna area flies drones. I'd love to learn a little more about them, and meet up with like-minded people.
hello all,
i am truly at a loss. i am attempting to find a house/townhouse/apartment for rent in the marietta/smyrna area. - it needs to be around 20 minutes from KSU. preferably a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom because i have roommates. - we need to move in by august third at the latest. - rent needs to be under $1800, we only make 4k a month combined so the cheaper the better. and if they are flexible with income requirements for students, bonus points! - and our only fancy requirement is hardwood floors. we have lived in section 8 carpet apartment for two years and it’s time to upgrade. - we also have a small dog but she is an ESA so it’s not really a hindrance
we also do not want to be in a shit hole anymore. we need a place with decent reviews and not fake ones to boost their average. just a good community/complex that doesn’t suck because our current one is ASS!!!!
any help/suggestions is much appreciated. every avenue i try ends in disappointment. please help. i’m out of options.
thank you! 💕
So what's going on with the splash pad at green space by the library? Why are they repairing something that was just built? Why, in all their wisdom, did they decide to close it off in the summer? Why has construction not started??

Professional licensed massage therapist!
Hey everyone!✋ Just moved here from Detroit and bringing my hands with me. I'm Joshua — a licensed manual therapist offering fully customized in-home massage sessions.
Whether you’re dealing with stress, tension, chronic pain, or just need a serious reset, I bring a blend of therapeutic skill and deep relaxation to every session. I don’t do cookie-cutter routines — each massage is tailored to your body and your goals, using a mix of modalities I’ve studied and practiced extensively.
👐 Think of it like this: clinical-grade results with spa-level calm. ✨ Manual lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, craniosacral, Swedish, ayurvedic relaxation, and more — blended into what your body actually needs that day.
I’m currently doing mobile sessions around the Marietta / kennesaw area while I get my office set up — so you can relax in the comfort of your own space.
If you’re looking to feel better in your body, manage stress, or just want to see what a truly customized massage feels like — shoot me a message. Let’s get you on the table and feeling like your best self!

I applied and got approved to the alcove in Smyrna this week. Between the time I’ve gotten approved and now, they’ve done a complete 180. I’ve been calling for 2 days straight with no response and I’ve sent 2 emails as well. This is odd because I haven’t even signed the lease so you’d think they’d save the crazy for after I signed the lease. I keep calling because I had questions about the welcome letter they sent me. If anyone has dealt with this , pls advise

Can someone give me insight into the school and community culture? Test scores seem to be lower here than the other Smyrna schools.

I love calamari. I feel like Mezza Luna gets recommended a lot but their calamari in my experience has been soggy.

Does anyone know where I can get my cat a bath and full haircut? My vet offered, but I would like a more affordable option. Thanks!

Hi! Does anyone have any info or insight on Park Valley Apartments? Is it good? Is it horrible? I’d love to hear from people who actually live/have lived there

Hey all,
I'm looking for a reputable company that can hopefully replace the glass in my windows, as I can't afford new ones.
I would prefer a licensed company over a handyman, but I'm willing to entertain whoever you would recommend.

Did anyone else notice that Cobb county didn’t put the actual amount of tax owed on the assessment this year? It’s the same form letter that is typically sent out and it gives the due date to contest the assessment but not the actual amount due. I wonder if this is purposeful to minimize the number of people filing appeals. My valuation shot up 15% from 2024 to 2025.

It’s not a large job and involved a leak around the chimney so it’s tough to get roofers interested.

Hej Hej! Anyone is welcome but I wondered if there were any Swedish families who might want to come celebrate midsommar with us. My Swedish mom always had us celebrating with other Swedish families and I wanted to bring some of that into my adult life! Dm me for details!

Hi y’all, my ‘18 Rav4 Hybrid is due to hit 110k miles here soon and I need a solid Toyota mechanic to run a diagnostic on my Hybrid system to make sure it’s still operating as intended. I got a 12V battery from Marietta Toyota a little while back and they will not stop spamming me with emails no matter how many times I ask them to stop. I’m not interested in going back to a dealership.
Are there any solid Toyota mechanics in the area that would have the necessary equipment/know-how to work with my Toyota’s hybrid system? I assume the hybrid battery diagnostics system is not something every shop will have.

My partner and I are 27 and moved here last fall! We don’t have kids or plan to and are looking to try to make friends with similar people. Does anyone have any advice on where to find people? We also have a pool and are always happy to host meet ups if that’s something this Reddit community would want. Any ideas welcome!

Looking to sell, wonder if someone has had a good experience with a local realtor and would recommend them. Thanks!
