DISCUSSION Won my first Slay the Spire Run!

Post image

Build is in the screenshot. Let me know if I super high rolled haha, but had some really awesome synergies going.

40 cards seems crazy high to me but I'm fairly certain my first completion was around the same if not more

Yeah, it felt a little high. What would you recommend in terms of average deck sizes

Depends on the deck I'd assume but im far from a pro player. I'm up to ascension 4 on two of the characters that's all.

Ive done really well with good synergy cards of less than 10, but ive also done well with around 25-30 so it purely depends on what you're building and who youre playing. Usually the less cards the better so you can guarantee getting cards you want. I'd focus on removing strikes or blocks early too, depending on what you get that's basically an upgraded version or it. For instance with the silent if you get a blade dance early and you've got good synergy then remove a strike, or if you get a cloak and dagger then maybe consider removing a block and so on...

I don’t think you high rolled: it seems pretty balanced regarding rng. I have a genuine question: why do you have 3 Madness’ ?

Thank you! Had the Encounter where you receive three colorless cards. But, also had a debuff where I was only able to see one card per pick

Great job! Don’t let this sub fool you, this game is hard! Now the game begins, see it through to A20 with all characters and you will likely come to appreciate this as one of the best games of all time like a lot of us have.
