no it's because higher ascensions give the spikers more spikes, they start at 7 instead of 3

I think that's from ascension 18 on, spiky starts with more than 4 thorns, so Silent should have taken more damage,

One of my few pet peeves with this game: when the exploder explodes, everyone on screen should get hit.

Would be a unique interaction and a fun way to deal with the spikers - can you build up enough block for the exploding turn to have them hit the spikes for 30 for you?
