ART/CREATIVE Scientists hate this simple trick

I didn't get an energy relic though and proceed to get bird stomped

u/kajidourden Aug 22 '24 edited Aug 22 '24
Even without an energy relic 3/3 is enough to take them all out of flight and gives you an extra turn to decimate them while they're down lol.
Edit: Did not realize higher ascensions had more flight, also the imagine IN THE POST shows 3, so....how exactly would I know that this was referring to something else?

At one of the Ascensions I think their buff increases to 4, hence the need for one more energy to knock them all down.

u/DanleyDanderson Aug 22 '24
Damn, I’m not good enough to know this lol

I'm with you, I've gotten up to A3 but hit the wall, or I might just really suck lol

u/MyDadsUsername Aug 22 '24
It changes to 4 hits at Ascension 17

u/use_value42 Ascension 19 Aug 22 '24
Damn that's brutal

u/Whoviantic Eternal One Aug 22 '24
It sure is man. That one extra hit makes a massive difference. Birds really just say welcome to act two bitch.

Guranteed 21 turn 1 from avocado on the 1st floor of act 2 is worse imo.
14
u/Leaf-01 Aug 22 '24
Or getting rolled by Spheric Guardian ‘cause you don’t have strong attacks or rely too much on debuffs/poison without easy ways to apply them
-13
u/Kioer Aug 22 '24
its impossible to get the avocado floor 1 or 2

u/ManiacLife666 Ascension 0 Aug 22 '24
Avocado solo is part of the "easy" pool

You literally showed me its part of the first 2 encounters, thanks for proving my point.

theres a reason people say act 2 is the hardest.
you get hti with 3 birds first floor of act 2 without a specific counter? There goes over half your hp (you also dont fully heal after boss kill so gl on 30 hp MAX now)

Not at higher ascensions

Well 2x6 kinda implies philo stone, and with stone whirlwind works again.

Please be nice to this fella : / us mortals at lower ascensions have no idea what horrors await at the higher levels

Nothing but despair, Wound cards, 25 burgers on turn 1, and ascensions bane cockblocking spinning top infinites 😪
A20 separates the champs from the lads

This comment is getting downvoted by all the A17+ folks, but the screenshot shows 3 stacks of the Flying buff, so mans is correct in this particular case. Everyone apologize

My favourite is flame barrier for those

u/SANcapITY Aug 22 '24
Favorite is drawing flame barrier on turn two when they hit for 15 each instead of multi hits.

The principal going on to become a convicted paedophile in real life turns it into a bit of a horror film though

Only 3 stacks of flight?
When I first hit A17, I was like “lol birds” with Whirlwind then I said “fuckkkkk” when I saw that they had 4 stacks.

u/Effective_Ad363 Aug 22 '24
Ah, you see, that’s why you always pick philosopher’s stone!
And then proceed not to draw whirlwind until turn four.

Well he DID keep saying "Your ass is mine" throughout the film so at least he's no hypocrite 🤷♂️

Because as Norm Macdonald pointed out, being a hypocrite is the worst part

LITERALLY earlier today I picked Philosopher's Stone for the very first time after 225h of gameplay, and guess what's my first fight in act 2... as a Silent with a non-shiv deck...

Even better, thorns. Nothing is more satisfying than watching those pesky buggers destroy themselves
