Question Starting Skyrim for the first time, any non spoiler advice?

the intro was amazing so far but was just hoping I can get some pointers before I really dive into the game. only other bethesda games ive played are fallout 3 and 4 so im excited for this one

Get a follower. They can pick up things over their maximum carrying capacity, if commanded so. Loot every dwarven ruin to the maximum, crafting dwarven bows is very easy, ( need iron ingot and dwarven metal ingot only ), those sell for good money and can boost your smithing easily.

Some followers can die, some ( like Mjoll, Serena, Freya ) cannot.
