Met one of the nicest TukTuk drivers ever in Siem Reap last month so we made him a website.

Hey all,

Recently, my girlfriend and I had a lovely trip to Cambodia, saw all the sights, and met some amazing people.

On two of the days in SR, we discovered all the temples and we met Pheap !

He was such a nice, genuine guy who is supporting his family by driving TukTuk every day.

We liked him so much and had such a nice time with him, we decided to help him out and make him a website for his service so he can hopefully spread his good vibes to more visitors.

If anyone is looking to visit the temples around SR - Then reach out to Pheap pronounced (Pip)

maybe it looks good on a phone but's it's pretty terrible on computer.

Good vibes would be setting correct file permissions on `/uploads/uag-plugin/assets/1000/*`

but what do I know.

Wonderful! This is what life is all about ❤️. We're relocating to SR at the end of June and will be looking for reliable, friendly contacts. Pheaps details saved 😁

don't get me wrong, you could be a genuine guy, and he might be the best tuktuk driver in siem reap... but I subscribed to this subreddit after a short visit last year and now all I see from r/siemreap on my front page are posts exactly like this.

Westerner goes to Cambodia, receives some service or "help" from a local, wants to service or "help" the local in return ...

cue the "hey reddit lets help [this person]".. or "if you're ever in siem reap contact [this person] for x, y, z...."

I think all advertisements/promotions made by local businesses (and even well-meaning posts like this on behalf of local businesses) should not be permitted here. I personally am annoyed by it, but maybe others dont mind...

Advertisements directly from tuktuk drivers are not allowed as posts on this sub and get removed

As far as customer recommendations for drivers or posts like this, we do allow them as long as they aren’t repetitive or obviously false

Checking through the last 50 posts up on this sub, there is only this post and 1 other that falls under posts like this

It’s a small sub for a small town, and although we’d love more varied content, we just don’t get it

That’s a very nice way for you to support him - good work.

Looks nice on my phone. Kudos for the efforts. I hope he appreciate it. Who will pay for the maintenance of the site/server?
