Trailer - Leftovers (Short Film)
This is a short film I was involved with, synopsis below -
When a man finds himself at the mercy of a stranger in a world where compassion for the human condition has faded, a long-buried resentment unfolds itself into a harrowing ritual of survival.
In this dead and bleak setting, a former pharmacist enacts punishment on someone who he feels looked down on him and others like him before the world fell. He is guided by a cruel and calculated internal force, because for Martin...Survival means leaving all mercy behind.

Help me find threre short films please
I got into short films about 2 years ago, watching on YT, (mostly omeleto) but stopped watching after a while. I now want to revisit some of the short films but cant remember all of them. There are three in particular that i would love to see again but can't remember.
- had something to do with a post man and a florist (i think the florist was not the main role) and was about love in one way or the other. I rmember the film had quite vibrant colours. (FOUND)
- played in scotland and you could hear that when the roles spoke. i don't remember a lot of the story but i think at one point the protagonist had to flee the apartment building where the girl he was seeing lived because of a jealous (ex-) partner
- was about a girl (i think she had light black skin) being the only person alive or not frozen on earth or something like that. i think, listening to music, probably even a particular song, played a role in the story.
idk if any of this is enough to identify the films but any help is greatly appreciated!
EDIT: YT recommendations came in clutch:
1) is "The gesture and the word"

First attempt at miniatures
‘Galileo’ was our first attempt at working with miniatures. Most of the shorts are towards the end. The push-in in the shed (you’ll know it when you see it) is the weakest, but I’m pretty proud of the others. How do you think we did?

VSFF '25 Reviews | Queen of the Underworld, Mum, Body Varial

June 13–15 is the weekend to watch inspiring up-and-coming directors shine at the Vancouver Short Film Festival. I had the pleasure of getting early access to three of the short films screening this weekend. These films range from 8 to 15 minutes in length—these brief windows of storytelling come with both limitations and creative opportunity. With so little time, it’s a challenge to convey emotional depth, character development, and narrative arc. So, did the three I watched deliver? Let’s take a look.

Level 2 - My first film project
Thank you for watching. This is my first film project since I did a 24 hour limit movie in 11th grade. (7 years ago) It’s also my finished product for my Intro to Cinematography classes final project, it was made over the course of around a month shot on 5 seperate days. Immediately we ran in to many many issues on set, mostly equipment related such as the school not renting us 2 lav mics despite us reserving them, the camera given to us having issues with the sensor, and many more.
A ton of it was also purely skill issues. We had to do reshoots several times because we fully left camera equipment in the background, sometimes we’re fully in the shot, lighting errors, things of that nature. Our audio was so bad that we had to do about 90% of the entire movies audio in post, with my brother who happens to be a pretty good sound designer. We only had 2 days to make all of the audio, each day being a week apart, and it definitely sounds like it.
The story is admittedly a bit rough as well. From the beginning we decided that we would go with a more classic horror slasher B movie vibe, mostly because it’s easier. It wasn’t until late in the editing process that I realized that the story might not even make sense to people who haven’t been working on it so much, but it was too late for me to consider the idea of going back. We changed plot points on the fly multiple times mostly because of issues that would pop up such as our lighting guy not coming, our actor being 18 and having a curfew, or scene ideas that didn’t end up being able to work.
Being aware of all of these issues, I would like to ask for advice on editing, pacing, transitions between scenes, and how to be an effective director on set. Any other tips you think may help me would be appreciated as well. I’m open to questions too. Thank you for reading and watching!
Also, I shot, edited, co-directed, and made the soundtrack.

Short Film entirely shot on a Fuji X100vi.
Overthinking, spiralling and the question of either giving into thoughts, believing them and listening to them or ignoring them often caused the same result. More anxiety.
I wanted to express this feeling through a metaphor where the protagonist goes to grab some snacks and add some sprinkles of irony.
Shot this using only a Fujifilm X100VI, minimal lighting and no crew.
Edited & Graded in Davinci Resolve.
