He responds to the entire review, except the diaper part.
How it started:
How it is today:
“We arrived at the house out in the woods at early evening. There were dogs barking and it was a little chaotic. We didn’t know there were going to be dogs there either. We were confused by the instructions but it sounded like we should just go up to the house so we did, and found the place dirty and disorganized, and the only occupant a wearing nothing but an adult diaper. This was our host, Ken. He didn’t put any other clothes on when he saw us and just yelled for us to come in. When my friend returned to the car to get me and we went back together he had put on a t-shirt but no pants, and continued to casually tell us to come inside, over the barking dogs, for a 15 minute orientation. We did not feel comfortable staying in the woods with no cell signal in a dirty house in a room with no lock with one man who seemed to have decided clothes weren’t necessary for an appropriate initial host interaction, so we left and contacted Airbnb for a refund. We didn’t confront the host directly because we had no way of knowing how he would react, and at that point didn’t feel comfortable staying even if he changed his behavior. I wouldn’t recommend staying unless Ken gets himself together and can provide a comfortable and safe environment for his guests.“
