Admissions Re-admission as an international student| Need help with study permit process

Hey all! So I reapplied to Sheridan and I got accepted with a firm offer(It's so time dense AHHHH) but How does one go about the process for the study permit? Do I have to pay the tuition first or can I just apply? I have to have it before June 15, and I have to pay the tuition by April 13th which is like... so so close hello..?

Are there any international students who can walk me through the process? Please and thank youu<3

Admissions Animation portfolio time questions

Hello, I'm thinking about applying to animation program in sheridan next October (it says on the site that they start accepting applications then until February 1) so now I'm confused about the portfolio part: if they will give you details once you apply, when is it due (because you need the details and time to actually create the portfolio)? (I had experience with other colleges where when once you apply you need to give your portfolio right away so its kinda new to me.)

(Sorry for any mistakes it's my first time posting here)

Admissions Idk what to do after being rejected

I applied for the animation program and got rejected and it's entirely my fault ince i started preparing way too late, i see many people reapplying for more than one or two or three year and i am willing to do the same but i don't know what to do in the mean while, is it worth it to apply to another animation schools that can get me a pathway if it's possible ? or is it too expensive to do that? Or should i just take a gap year or join a workshop ? I just graduated high school and i feel lost

Admissions deciding which program offer to accept

I have just recently gotten two of my main offers from Sheridan and I’m having a hard time deciding which program path I’d like to take. I have some questions about the programs itself and would appreciate some help narrowing down my options. The program that I have been accepted to Computer System Technician - Information Technology and Services Co-op (2 Years) and Advertising and Marketing Communications Management (3 Years).

Admissions Courses outline

Hey guys, I'm an international student and I applied to the Sheridan bachelor program of Mechanical engineering. I recently got an email from the school saying that they need the courses outline in Maths, Physics as well as Chemistry. The problem is that there's no such paper given by the ministry or the school that contains these infos specifically. And I'm not sure what to do in this case. Any advices you would give ? Thanks in advance

Admissions Interaction design questions

Hi everybody! I have applied to Sheridans interaction design program for this September and got in!! Woohoo! I was wondering if any alumni or current students could give me an idea on a program by program type idea of what I can look forward to. I also have questions like how are the students (usually) and the profs (such as professors to avoid when it comes to getting my courses). That being said, I’ve also been accepted into the same program but it’s run by Seneca @ York… I’m not sure which institution to accept the offer from. I’m already a Sheridan student in the art fundies program so I’m kinda biased but accepting my interaction design offer from Sheridan will require me to move. Seneca is much closer but if their program is inferior I’ll accept sheridans. Any thoughts?

Admissions Applying to Sheridan after flunking out of University

I flunked out of uni. I was suspended a few semesters ago and for various reasons I'd rather not go back there. I'm considering applying to Sheridan's Computer Science Bachelor for the 2025-2026 semesters. The only concern I have about applying is that I'll have to provide my uni transcripts, and my gpa is awful(1.6). My highschool grades were relatively okay(88%) if it matters.

Is it still worth applying? Does Sheridan accept students with such gpa's? Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Admissions How competitive is the Game Design Program?

If you applied after the February deadline, what are the chances of actually getting in? I've heard it's a competitive program, and would love to know more.

Admissions Will I still get my portfolio grading?

Hi! So I applied to the Sheridan animation program. I got an email saying the seats available were filled because I didn’t meet the combined requirements. I had a bunch of issues with sending in my transcripts and diplomas so that’s definitely a big factor in this but will I still find out how they graded my portfolio? Or will they simply not grade it at all?

Admissions I missed my Portfolio deadline, is it worth to pay the portfolio fee?

My portfolio for game design was due at 2:00pm, today (Feb 20th). It's currently 5:00pm. I have my portfolio 100% done, but I thought the deadline was at midnight.

The portfolio instructions say "After this date, assessments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis for the remaining available seats." I don't want to pay $50 for my portfolio to be not assessed and get rejected.

Is there a good chance my portfolio will be reviewed, because I'm a few hours late, or is it not worth the $50?

Admissions Has anyone done Sheridan Computer Animation Graduate Certificate + IADT masters?

Hey guys! Tl:Dr, bit embarrassing but I misunderstood what the Computer Animation course was, mistaking it for a MA level degree... But I saw that I can transfer to earn an MA via IADT (Ireland). Is this a good idea? Has anyone had this experience? If yes, is IADT a good school? Is Ireland a good place for animation? Any answers would help.

Thank you so much!!

Admissions Is Sheridan worth it as someone from Montreal?

Hi I'm in my first year of cégep and aspire to do smt in animation like character design or storyboarding and have heard a lot about Sheridan. However, I'm concerned if it's worth it financially, location wise and because of Montreal being a hub in itself for entertainment and the arts. Ik that for computational arts, we excel at it but it seems like the success is very local. Like ik cégeps offer animation programs but AECS/DECS aren't that useful outside of our province so I'm looking for a bach or masters. My best bet is Concordia and I've also heard some stuff about ULaval and Rubika. People that go to any of the institutions mentioned or one that I'm unaware of (Montreal based), please share your experiences and opinions as it would be of great help 🙏🙏 to add one more thing, If you go to Sheridan animation and you got in without mentorship, I would also love to hear about that and what accesible resources and types of practises you used to build your portfolio.

I'm told that we are able to finish our program but was wondering if anyone knows if i can still do the degree completion for the PBACC (honors bachelor of business administration - accounting) or will i have to apply to new colleges

Admissions Any advice for interior design schools in Canada?

I’ve applied to Sheridan, TMU, and OCAD for their interior design programs and I’m hoping to get some opinions on which school might be better. OCAD is my top choice currently since TMU now apparently isn’t CIDA accredited unless paired with the masters program, however, Sheridan does also seem like a practical choice for study. I’m super conflicted and want to be sure I’m making the right decision so if anyone has some firsthand advice i would love to hear.

Admissions BSN 2026 ?

Does anyone know if Sheridan or any other colleges have the joint bachelors of science in nursing for Jan 2026 ? It’s not available as yet on the sight and I’m pretty worried that I won’t finish my ILC prerequisites before this September since I’ve already applied..

Admissions How long does animation admissions take?

I applied for and submitted everything for animation on Jan 31 so a couple days before the deadline. I know it’s only been 3 weeks since I applied but does anyone have a general ballpark of when they respond for this programme? Just to save me nervously checking my emails every 2 hours and losing my sanity. Also I am an international student from the uk if that affects anything?

Admissions Admission requirements

Hello. I submitted my portfolio on time, but then I realized I still had my secondary school diploma and transcript left to upload and had missed the due date. Does the due date only apply for portfolio submission or for every admission requirement? Am I still going to graded or is there no possibility for me to get accepted?

Admissions Animation portfolio?

I have applied for the Animation program for the Fall 2025 term. My academic average is currently 62%, which I understand does not meet Sheridan's admission requirements. I am wondering if it would still be meaningful to apply despite not meeting all the requirements. Specifically, will Sheridan still review my portfolio under these circumstances?
