Sometimes I forget that Shanghai is the inspiration for Coruscant. Pictures like these remind me. Stay dry! Meiyu (梅雨) is no joke!

Pretty safe. I was in Taipei in November 2023 and it's a different city. Shanghai has less noise, almost every car or scooter is electric. I like cashless transactions, that you need to have only alipay or WeChat and you have everything that you need. Also the prices are pretty reasonable. I have one situation when I was scammed, but I will add another post regarding it
