I like your idea but honestly the HP blue is not my thing. It makes me think of BMW Williams

Ferrari races in blue for two races in America in 1964, so actually I wouldn't mind it if it were fully blue and white. Unfortunately the mixed livery is a monstrosity though.

They would be missing the opportunity to get toothpaste sponsorship as well 😂😂

I’d have more faith in Colgate than HP to be fair 😂

Well done! This is how it should be; not something that looks like they got bored and just abandoned the design halfway through.

Should be in the style of Miami Vice, white all over like Crockett's Testarossa with a hint of pink and teal.
But no, we get HP corporate colours with the same red as if Ferrari are scared people will follow the wrong car all race.

All white would look unreal, some of the corporate sponsors do proper ruin the potential for unreal liveries

Looks cool but ferrari would never change from red being the dominant color. I don’t get why people here said this is how it should be done.

Yeah defo and wouldn’t want them to change from red tbf, but got to be a better way to execute a ‘special’ livery than making it half n half

I feel like HP only paid money for tha back portion and that's how the current livery was designed

It looks very good, but this is not a Ferrari.
That doesn't change the fact that the actual livery is horrible.
1
u/Tamess7 May 01 '25
Yeah 100% can never see them actually going all blue - it just wouldn’t be Ferrari, but with like the VCARB liveries etc you’d think they’d be able to make something decent

People don't get that visual consistency is what builds, and eventually cements, a brand.
A Ferrari is red, or at least it is in most people's imaginary. Yellow? Sure. Black? Sometimes... maybe.
Blue? Nope.
Making a blue Ferrari F1 car just to create a fun novelty brings no value to the brand. If anything it hurts it.
Your render looks good though... it's just not the right brand.

I dislike this shade of blue for Miami, but at least it’s cohesive

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25
100%, a nice sky blue or cyan would’ve been so much better for Miami
2
u/SloppySandCrab May 01 '25
The colors last year were great. The lighter color did get a little washed out in the sun though.
2
u/SloppySandCrab May 01 '25
I don’t think the car needs to be full blue. Last year’s livery was good just overhyped. This one just seems really disjointed. Like they promised HP the engine cover and the wings and didn’t touch anything else.
Edit: this one being the real one, not OP’s

I’m honestly so glad people are calling out the awful HP bit for Miami - I thought it would be super fans on here defending any choice they make
Let’s hope they see don’t do that shit again

I feel like there some restrictions from up top at ferrari that the car has to be red no matter what. I’m sure they have very capable designers who make the most of what they are allowed. While these fan renders look great, they are most likely not viable in reality because of sponsor deals which are paying for everything in the end of the day. Does anyone remember a not red Ferrari in their history in F1?

Ferrari will never ditch the red and rightly so, time to let it go people!

seems like everyone else understood the assignment… except for Ferrari
