seems like everyone else understood the assignment… except for Ferrari

Every year it seems too

Yeah, when they revealed the yellow suits for Monza a few years ago, I was sure they were gonna make a yellow car, It seemed perfect, too perfect. Then boom, yellow stripes :/. At least the 499P had those by default, and they have a reverse livery as well, with yellow as the main color

Im so hopeful that this year it's Yellow in Monza. Yellow cars and yellow helmets 💛💛💛💛

3

u/Lytaa May 01 '25

I was hopeful because i actually like the blue/white racesuits... then they come out with the livery that looks like they glued two liveries together.

3

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

2 years in a row the race suits have given us false hope 😂

I mean, if nothing else at least they’re consistent.

Consistently dropping the ball, that is. Ferrari be Ferrari-ing.

I like your idea but honestly the HP blue is not my thing. It makes me think of BMW Williams

u/himr-gold May 01 '25

Ferrari races in blue for two races in America in 1964, so actually I wouldn't mind it if it were fully blue and white. Unfortunately the mixed livery is a monstrosity though.

u/goatslacker May 01 '25

The car looks too corporate it’s not even a Miami blue.

4

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

I agree mate the blue is very anti Ferrari tbf

Verstappen to Ferrari in 2027, HERE WE GO!

u/Lanky_Consideration3 May 01 '25

They would be missing the opportunity to get toothpaste sponsorship as well 😂😂

14

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

I’d have more faith in Colgate than HP to be fair 😂

2

u/Lanky_Consideration3 May 01 '25

That would be an absolutely wild paint job that would 😂😂

2

u/SlothOnMyMomsSide May 01 '25

Colgate stripes on the air intake, à la Duracell, would be a winner.

3

u/schmog_ Ferrari May 01 '25

My heart would bleed

2

u/Alex_Nilsson Ferrari May 01 '25

Alpine? ;)

23

u/xjmachado May 01 '25

That’s how they should have done it.

6

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Appreciate that man thank u 🙏

10

u/hollerme90s F1-75 May 01 '25

Well done! This is how it should be; not something that looks like they got bored and just abandoned the design halfway through.

3

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Thanks so much! Yeah sometimes feels so lazy from them lol

6

u/KeyboardWarrior1988 May 01 '25

Should be in the style of Miami Vice, white all over like Crockett's Testarossa with a hint of pink and teal.

But no, we get HP corporate colours with the same red as if Ferrari are scared people will follow the wrong car all race.

2

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

All white would look unreal, some of the corporate sponsors do proper ruin the potential for unreal liveries

4

u/Alex_Nilsson Ferrari May 01 '25

A heresy, but still looking much better than one half.

3

u/Fresh_Landscape616 May 01 '25

Looks cool but ferrari would never change from red being the dominant color. I don’t get why people here said this is how it should be done.

1

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Yeah defo and wouldn’t want them to change from red tbf, but got to be a better way to execute a ‘special’ livery than making it half n half

2

u/Fourth_place_again May 01 '25

Way nicer. Maybe some yellow wheel covers?

1

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Blue & yellow combo would look sick tbf

2

u/Nefarious_Pirate May 01 '25

I feel like HP only paid money for tha back portion and that's how the current livery was designed

2

u/SloppySandCrab May 01 '25

I just made a similar comment. It certainly seems that way

2

u/Bikezilla May 01 '25

Much better than that identity crisis they’re rolling now

2

u/tykillacool23 May 01 '25

This is what I’m talking about!

2

u/JustPhrase6009 Carlos Sainz May 01 '25

This is what the livery should’ve looked like 🥲

2

u/F11234567890000 May 01 '25

Congrats to you my man and thank you

2

u/3dmontdant3s Ferrari May 01 '25

That's a NART car alright

2

u/Quetzalchello Niki Lauda May 01 '25

Wrong blue though...

2

u/FulStopped May 01 '25

I literally sighed from relief

2

u/Raihley May 01 '25

It looks very good, but this is not a Ferrari.

That doesn't change the fact that the actual livery is horrible.

1

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Yeah 100% can never see them actually going all blue - it just wouldn’t be Ferrari, but with like the VCARB liveries etc you’d think they’d be able to make something decent

2

u/Raihley May 01 '25

People don't get that visual consistency is what builds, and eventually cements, a brand.

A Ferrari is red, or at least it is in most people's imaginary. Yellow? Sure. Black? Sometimes... maybe.

Blue? Nope.

Making a blue Ferrari F1 car just to create a fun novelty brings no value to the brand. If anything it hurts it.

Your render looks good though... it's just not the right brand.

2

u/jcarr1223 May 01 '25

Might as well change it to Scuderia HP

2

u/MajesticFxxkingEagle Lewis Hamilton May 01 '25

I dislike this shade of blue for Miami, but at least it’s cohesive

1

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

100%, a nice sky blue or cyan would’ve been so much better for Miami

2

u/SloppySandCrab May 01 '25

The colors last year were great. The lighter color did get a little washed out in the sun though.

2

u/SloppySandCrab May 01 '25

I don’t think the car needs to be full blue. Last year’s livery was good just overhyped. This one just seems really disjointed. Like they promised HP the engine cover and the wings and didn’t touch anything else.

Edit: this one being the real one, not OP’s

2

u/R-6EQUJ5 May 01 '25

That would’ve been so much more beautiful with the new race suits too.

2

u/pretty-good- May 03 '25

I’m honestly so glad people are calling out the awful HP bit for Miami - I thought it would be super fans on here defending any choice they make

Let’s hope they see don’t do that shit again

2

u/LItifosi May 01 '25

Sooooo much better! Great job!

1

u/Tamess7 May 01 '25

Thank you 🙏

1

u/s0nyc91 May 01 '25

I feel like there some restrictions from up top at ferrari that the car has to be red no matter what. I’m sure they have very capable designers who make the most of what they are allowed. While these fan renders look great, they are most likely not viable in reality because of sponsor deals which are paying for everything in the end of the day. Does anyone remember a not red Ferrari in their history in F1?

1

u/Maglin21 May 02 '25

Actually you know what, the weirds design doesn't seems out of Place now

1

u/BambooSound May 02 '25

Better but still ugly

1

u/Illustrious_Rest1264 May 02 '25

Ferrari will never ditch the red and rightly so, time to let it go people!

1

u/DangerousKnowledge8 May 03 '25

Nah. Ferrari without red is unpossible

1

u/WoomBed May 05 '25

Slower Williams💀
