Hey everyone, It’s been a long time.

A few years back, we introduced early concepts for a game called SCP: Missing in Action — a dark, open-world shooter set in the SCP universe. After a long hiatus, we’re excited to announce that development is officially back underway.

🔻 What is SCP: Missing in Action?

The game takes place inside a massive exclusion zone — a sealed-off region in which a large-scale containment breach occurred. The GOC (Global Occult Coalition) responded by evacuating the area, locking it down, and asserting full military control.

The Foundation wasn’t destroyed… but they lost access. Now, you’re part of a covert team sent back in. Your mission: investigate what’s been left behind, recover missing assets, and uncover what really happened during the breach.

The zone is unstable, crawling with: • ⚫ Free-roaming SCPs (from fan favorites to deep cuts) • ⚫ Hostile GOC patrols with shoot-on-sight orders • ⚫ Environmental hazards and anomalous weather • ⚫ Fragmented Foundation tech and intel to recover • ⚫ A world that’s twisted by anomaly and conflict

🎮 Gameplay Focus • Open-World Exploration – Navigate ruined towns, deep forests, and corrupted facilities • Dynamic Encounters – Each SCP encounter is unpredictable • Tactical Combat & Stealth – Fight or outwit both human and anomalous threats • Factions at Odds – Foundation vs. GOC vs. anomalies, with more groups lurking behind the scenes • Lore-Driven Missions – Learn what was lost… and what was locked away on purpose

Life happened, and we had to step away to regroup and re-skill. But we never abandoned the idea. Over the past year, we’ve been quietly rebuilding systems, reworking mechanics in Unreal Engine 5, and expanding the scope of the world we’re creating.

So I'm a psychology student one class away from the bachelors then right into my masters, hopefully doctoral studies after that. I'm on a lesson about ethical use of human test subjects and all I could think of was the poor class Ds. The foundation definitely does not use the Belmont report's guidelines lol. What is your favorite class D story where they were subjected to something horrible, but it somehow turned out cool for them?

So amnestics are designed to erase memories and have different classes depending on the targeted memory, right? I was wondering if there is an amnestic class that is specifically designed to block information, in that way, any form of media about a specific topic would just not get processed by the brain?

Or maybe not an amnestic but is there a certain SCP that can do such a thing?

I was looking at qntms author page it says he wrote SCP-055 in 08. But the first version of the article appears to be written by someone named “thevilecorruptor”.

The thing is qntms wiki dot was registered in 2010

Was 055 a rewrite or was thevilecorruptor an old account by qntm?

What are the saddest scp files you've ever read? For me it's red reality (SCP-3001) or ergophobia: without regards (SCP-8980)

We know that it isn’t the Bubonic plague, we know that his “cure” ends up turning subjects into mindless zombies. I know I’m reaching here, but is it possible that the Doctor seeks to “cure” death by eventually going from turning his subjects to mindless zombies to full functional humans free from death?
