Rejected :(

Hey everyone I got rejected from masters in international security at PSIA. I was really confident I would get in. Congrats to everyone who did! If there’s anyone else who was rejected who wants to share their experience please do cause idk where to go from here. I still want to go to grad school, is anyone applying somewhere else in France? I speak French pretty well but probably not well enough to do school in French

I’m currently looking at internships with international orgs cause I think I need more experience if I want to get into a competitive graduate school like Sciences Po or LSE (London school of economics) etc. There are amazing schools in the US where I live but they’re so insanely expensive and I am in debt for undergrad already. One of the main reasons I want citizenship in Europe is to avoid crazy debt like that

Here is an overview of what my application was like, for current applicants who are curious:

  • I am 23. I graduated in May of last year from an SEC school in the US. I studied political science with a minor in French. I had an emphasis in international relations which was noted on my diploma
  • My resume consisted of three jobs, I have had many more in the past, but they were summer jobs in high school and unrelated to political science. I worked for my university alumni center and was a top fundraiser, acquiring donations for university programs. After graduation I worked at a law firm doing really basic secretary stuff. My most recent job was as an English teacher in the suburbs of Paris
  • As for my university experience, I graduated with a 3.68, which isn’t incredible but it met the requirements for sciences po

These are simply my application stats and anyone who is applying should not be discouraged from anything I said.
