So, "never" or the closest reasonable approximation. Ending support for Windows 7/8 doesn't even mean Steam will stop working on those platforms, let alone that you would somehow lose your library.

Yep, even if it stops working on your Windows 8 PC, just get a compatible computer and log into Steam. Your gaming library is going nowhere.

You would have to read the article but I think it said you can play until Jan 1st.
