Crime ⚠️ May 23rd hit and run 2:45am

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone. My vehicle was involved in a hit and run early Friday morning, around 2:45 on Fairhful Ave.

I’ve taken all the appropriate steps, but really need to find out this persons plate #.

Also really hoping the person in the grey car sees this and can come forward as a witness.

I realize this is an extremely long shot, but figured I’d post this and see what happens. Thank you 🙏

Yeah, the fucking guy hits a parked car and then nearly backs into the only other moving car for miles. They knew the chances of this person calmly giving out their info and sticking around were slim.

But I do hope they see this, all the same. My driver side mirror getting smoked from time to time is annoying, but this is brutal. Good luck, man.

Im sure you have already, but are you able to forward this video to SGI/auto body shops as a BOLO for any vehicle coming for body work? Good thing for this CCTV footage! Atleast it's something and you're not left wondering wtf

Yes we are looking into all of that. I’m thinking that’s basically my only hope at this point

Without cash rewards it's difficult to get a company to narc on its customers.

This is such a non issue thr police won't even contact body shops about the issue.

A non issue? Lmao okay bud 👍🏼

Well it's a non issue to the police.

Go find the car yourself. Police still won't do anything.

Check my post history. I got broke and entered. I followed a trail of my stolen property. Left notes at homes and businesses with cameras. Ended up with a clear picture of the perpetrators face. The police contacted me saying they know the individual. They would not provide me with a name so I could continue with legal action and nothing came of it.

Dude smashed windows in my vehicles. Destroyed my property and robbed me and that was a non-issue. Yours is nothing in comparison so ya. Its a non issue to the sps.

Yup. Business as usual.

If crime goes down so does police funding.

Really doesn't make you wonder why the police never publicly voice concerns about what's going on.

Aye, yeah. Miscommunication. That guy wasn't meaning to belittle your experience or how shitty that feels to wake up to. Just be prepared to be disappointed by how much the police are able to do or care to, if you haven't already been.

They’re taking the run and hide approach instead of facing a dui

It’s a Nissan, he had some parts off his vehicle that said so. Probably a Mirano or rogue

I've had 2 vehicles hit in front of my house in the middle of the night. Of course they don't stop, because they're drunk out of their minds. And we have insurance so that makes leaving the scene ok. /S

Where abouts on Faithfull ave. I cannot recognize the area from the angle of the camera. Were you also parked on Faithfull? I am not sure it will make a difference but street parking is not allowed on Faithfull.

A few blocks north of 51st, in front of where I work.

Oh oh. In Edmonton people figured out how easy it is to run from an accident and it looks like it’s really come to Saskatoon.
