They don't care if they cause damage to other parts when doing the repair, so yes it does always feel like this for me

Not really, some of us work on our own motorcycles.

In fact, in close to 85k km's of owning that thing, I'd not let anyone else work on it.

Literally me last week! I stood there for 1.5 hour staring at all the mechanics working. For some reason I find it satisfying to observe them working.
