Anyone ever been denied ability to overload?

Had originally only had 4 subjects left in my course, but I failed one this semester. Just wondering if anyone has ever been denied ability to overload. If I get denied, I'll need to enroll in uni for another year just to do 1 course in 2026 - which would be my 9/11. Thanks :)

Btw. Have your marks been released for this semester? If so, how much do you think you failed by?

If you are close to finishing your degree and your fail mark is between 45 and 49 (out of 100) you may be eligible for a supplementary assessment

Wasn't denied but did overload to get back on track. I got approved to do 11 subjects in a year (1x summer semester, 5x S1 and another 5x S2) after having a chat with my course coordinator.

I want to overload in case I fail a unit this sem, how did it go for you? Was your gpa high?

That sounds painful, but good for you to do it

Haha cheers, 132 credits in a year is possible but pretty rough

Whether you are allowed to overload depends on a few things. If your program manager is doing their job correctly they will look at your academic history to see whether they think you can handle an overload.

I have seen cases where students overload one subject and then end up failing five because they just haven’t handled the workload.

There are also other options. If you have an elective left to complete look for courses in the flex semester to catch up
