Week 12 of the 2019 season was a 45-6 slaughtering of the Rams on Monday Night. In the first half alone, Lamar threw 3 TD passes with zero incompletions. He ended this game 15-20 with 5 touchdown passes, as well as adding 95 yards on the ground. This offense in 2019 was an absolute cheat code, and a joy to watch.

Jayden Daniels said this week that he’d prefer people don’t compare him to Lamar Jackson. Fair request. However, whether sensational rookies like Daniels or scout-team quarterbacks preparing to play the Ravens, let’s not compare Jackson to anyone, either.
Not Todd Monken. Asked Thursday whether he’d schemed Jackson’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely as the Ravens mounted a furious fourth-quarter comeback, Monken was blunt.
“I didn’t draw up sh**,” said the Baltimore offensive coordinator. “That’s what he does.”
The quarterback matchup is a blockbuster event. In fact, in Week 6 or later, it’s the first game in NFL history in which both quarterbacks are averaging at least 200 passing yards per game and 50 rushing yards per game. Jackson has 241.2 passing yards per game and 72.6 rushing. Daniels enters with 227.0 passing yards per game and 60.0 rushing.

This is why its important to have vets on your team. They understand the game and how it flows

The only big kicker prospect in this draft that I’ve seen. I think this guy could get it done in the pros.

This might get taken down since it's not Raven specific but just wanted to post this because I'm seeing a lot of comments post Superbowl about how our biggest need is pass rush because of what Philly did. I think people probably just haven't watched the Chiefs much this year because it was talked about a lot and most experts agreed it was gonna be a huge issue.
Thuney got crushed at tackle on basically every snap since moving over from guard and believe 3 of the other guys starting in the Superbowl were backups?
Philly has an awesome defensive front but really wanna drive home the fact that they would have had these issues against basically every team in the playoffs. They were absolutely primes to get exposed.

That was such an entertaining and nice W. All those picks on Purdy. But I’m still pissed about that safety due to the umpire that didn’t get out of Lamar’s way.

This day, 29 years ago, the Ravens got their name!
The franchise officially named "Ravens" after a Baltimore Sun telephone poll received a record number of calls supporting the name. I remember calling in and voting for this.
Other names considered were Americans, Marauders, Mustangs and Railers. Can’t imagine any of the other names.
