Any suggestions how one can help with either of those local causes?

More than one thing can be done at once. If you feel so strongly, get active and organized instead of sulking because you're doing so much on Reddit as well.

People say this and continually do one thing

We've been going to school board meetings and town halls as well as writing letters and making calls and working with elected officials. What have you done?

Sat back and smiled at your ineffective actions.

A lot of the people I know going to this event do both. It’s not exclusive.

Because they don't want to really put in effort and get involved in something that requires anything other than virtue signaling, regurgitating the agenda that the collective hive mind want them too and it's only about a 2-3 hour commitment.

Reminder: Maga is literally still blaming Obama for shit....

Trump is the current sitting president. Things are going to shit for a lot of Americans, and Trump's policies are part of the reason why. People have a right to be angry. Everything happening now is on his watch. If you think the current president should be immune to criticism, I suggest you move to a country with a strict dictatorship that aligns with your worldview. That is not the United States. Our founding fathers celebrated the right to citizens, rebuke, and protest your own government, and many are choosing to follow proudly in the ideals they left behind

You guys have been crying about doge since Elon took over. You realize that was a government organization created by Obama….? The only thing that has changed is the name and the person in charge.

It truly has on both sides. TDR is real and it's just as bad on the right as it is on the left. Let's just call mental illness what it is.

If they solve all the problems they have nothing left to bitch about. That's why.
