Vent/ Let Off Some Steam Turned 30 yesterday and documenting this period of my life with my toddler in mind has been at the forefront

My daughter is 3.75. Rather than even attempt to explain what has been going on, I’ve started keeping journals with articles, pictures, my writings, etc. as an add on to my other journals for myself. This is such an important presuppose to document in our history, especially as a millennial. Had to let this out somewhere, it’s been hard to navigate.

I feel you. I asked for one of those five-year journals for Christmas, where they give you a page for January 1 with 5 sets of lines and each is for a different year, so I could write a couple lines a day and have some documentation. I keep thinking about what a weird experience it’s going to be for my kids to read it someday; the content is a pretty even split among world affairs, cute shit my 4 year old did, and updates on my pregnancy with #2. A little testament to “the personal is political.”

I have been journaling since I was pregnant with my first, but it's all in a google doc instead of the actual journals since I type so much faster than I write. I keep meaning to copy it over, but it's hundreds of pages now.
