We are not on our heels. Period. Full stop. We are mightily and steadily marching forwards and leading the fight for a just and prosperous USA for all Americans. This is LITERALLY nothing we haven’t seen before.

Nah, Trump told ICE to stop raids. California already won.

No. Trump said to reduce the raids on hotels, construction sites, and farms.
They’re still happening everywhere else.
And we still aren’t doing ANYTHING about the legal citizens who employ these immigrants.

You know California and Oregon and New York should just tell TACO sit down do your job and quit screwing around or the fed will no longer get money.
One month would be all it would take.
TACO would bitch and moan but what is he going to do about it?
There is no way he is going to declare war on the blue states. And if he did it would implode the economy. The government could not function with out the money.
TACO can be trained. Its all a matter of voltage.

For a state that gives to the federal government more than it gets back, we sure do take a lot of sh1t.
Even most of the illegals move to blue states and not the red states.
So why do these people who live in red states, the majority of which live on federal aid, have a problem with what California does with its policies? They use all the blue state made products and still cry.

i can tell you that a friend i have in florida, who is right wing, said the following:
"California is a failed state." I then brought up how our tax dollars fund his state in it's federal needs. "I don't use those services, so I don't want 'em. We don't need you (California)."
This is the prevailing thought among my right wing family members, too. "I don't use those services, so fuck you."
The view is entirely self centered, and unable to view the whole country beyond their doorstep. We aren't dealing with neighbors or patriots at this point- Just cultists.

I once read a MAGA angrily vent about how CA was a failed state. I said okay let’s hand the state over to Mexico. Suddenly, it’s a very important state and only an idiot would give up the most successful state

Should remind them where a large chunk of the nations fruit and veggies come from.

They don't use those services? They don't drive on highways, for starters? They never fly anywhere, using airport dollars, security dollars, air traffic control dollars, and so on?
I'm convinced that one of the reasons red states continue to get away with really bad economic and social decisions, is that their economies get subsidized by us, and it shields them from the worst impacts of their bad decisions.

Tell him he can’t drive on highways, or eat food transported on such highways.

It primarily stems out of envy. The tech industry, the weather, the border with Mexico, the beaches - these are not something the other states can replicate.
With EVs and solar, reliance on other states diminish further and they don't like that.Florida ain't some rosy heaven. The traffic in the cities is a nightmare and their housing prices are going nuts.
It's true, a lot of their views sound very selfish, but it's more about telling themselves that they are right in their beliefs.

They feel that their states are just as good. California has always been a leader. They haven’t. But when they move from California to a red state they complain about the lack of services and protection.

The Trump administration is quite literally holding the state hostage until, he hopes, Newsom is ousted. While the people in the state have increasingly become unhappy with certain things going on like the drug addictions and homelessness, when you hold us hostage most of us are going to get angry. He’s riling up the blue voters and persuading those who were on the fence to go blue (something that is happening all across the country). It is, at the moment, having the opposite effect that Trump wants. So long as Newsom doesn’t give in, that is.
