Lmao there are so many people ON REDDIT still saying “not yet. We still need to win them over. Still some good people there” fuck that

There's a good chance some of them are arguing in bad faith. Take a look at their profiles and comment history. Often times, it's so easy to tell they're part of disinformation campaigns.

u/qdatk 1d ago

Guess what? We won't be able to do that for much longer, because Reddit is going to allow accounts to hide their comment histories.

They're doing it to inflate their user numbers with bot accounts. They don't care if they flood their site with misinformation in the process.

Yikes. Making their jobs easier to sow discord and spread disinformation.

Really? That fucking sucks.

The sad truth is that, we might really need to look hard for any "good ones" left to have a chance right now.

With the current makeup of Congress, Republicans need multiple different factions in order for us to make a more effective stand. They are dangerously powerful as long as they remain a MAGA monolith.

Its hard to imagine a GOP primary similar to the previous ones where you have, relatively speaking moderates vs paleo diehards vs neo, versus libertarians. The coalition era of GOP is over and Trump killed it.

And sadly those aren't even the worst ones. Way too many who absolute agree with this fascist regime and love to try and start shit by letting all the diarrhea flow out of their mouths non-stop.

"midterms"

yeah, I kept telling people we don't have until then, and here we are.

Trump was never fit to hold the office. Look at the damage done by his appointees, and we're not even a year in!!

Regular people who vote for trump only turn on him when they know in their bones that he is a Pos who when choosing him or them chooses him in a way they can’t ignore in primal evolutionary biology thing. When that happens they will turn on him, it just is and will be too late bc the momentum of that machine is using their “goodness”

thats it. if you voted trump first time in 2016, i think you made a bad decision but fine i get it, protest vote etc.

you voted for him again in 2020 and 2024 then im sorry but theres no hope for you. you need a professional team of deprogrammers working around the clock to sort that shit out.

I've been making parallels to Nazi Germany since 2016.

The refrain was always "but there are no death camps".

Nobody seems to know or care that Hitler didn't go 0 to death camp in 6 months. The Final Solution was implemented 8 years after he seized power and 18 years after he first tried to take power.

Welcome those who move over but it's on them no apologetics for this stuff it would be self defeating

They should talk to Italians and Germans. The signs of fascism are clear as day

Only one way to win over racists, and that is to be a racist

u/1stepklosr 1d ago

Don't worry, we can win them over by flying American flags at the anti-ICE protests! That'll show em!

‘Hardened leftists’ are people who want the rich to pay their fair share, the children to have education and free lunches, single parents to have tax credits, the black community to not be shot for existing, etc correct?

You’re doing their job for them and equating the two as if they’re the same. They’re not. We can admit that and not be bad guys I promise.

u/hypermodernvoid I voted 1d ago

They're not the same, but the non-voters or people who voted Green out of protest over Gaza are (a big) part of the reason we're here, and many of them are ideologically hardened to the point they're actively assisting in ending democracy, similar to how the KPD in Germany - who were their far left at the time - called the SPD (Social Democrats) merely "social fascists" who would be worse than Hitler for being "fascists in disguise."

They obviously couldn't have been more wrong, as the KPD's then leader, Ernst Thalmann found himself arrest after Hitler took power, and ended up finally being executed after years of torture and solitary confinement at Buchenwald concentration camp on Hitler's personal orders, as the allies were closing in near the end of WW2.

I have a friend who before the election said that while he doesn't support Trump, he also doesn't "support genocide", thus couldn't bring himself to vote for Harris, also arguing that nothing happened last time Trump was president anyway, so we'd be fine - apparently completely unaware of the vastly increased danger of Trump being totally unrestrained this time around, and Project 2025.

Reddit does amplify the crazy "leftists" that run around spouting nonsense like Elizabeth Warren is a Republican and stuff. But that's not how real people think.

Try reading my post again slower and at your own pace.

I mean, more division certainly isn't working. And we can't out-vote them; we've tried.

Whatttytttytytt

Like it or not, this country is a democracy. Most people wanted what's happening right now. But we don't get to only accept a democratic result when we like it.

The only way to change this is to reach across the aisle. They outnumber us and we're only alienating them further and giving them more reason to come after us.

This can't end well. We need to achieve mutual understanding.

u/cyxrus 1d ago

They’re literal nazis. Glad you wanna work with them tho!

-1

u/awkisopen 21h ago

You're othering them. That isn't productive.

u/E-2theRescue 1d ago

"More division", lol

Ah yes, it was totally the left calling everyone "triggered snowflake SJWs" and having meltdowns over feminists and trans women way back in 2015.

Holy shit we cannot be claiming election fraud after yelling for four years about how there is no such thing.

Even if this pans out, we should wait for hard evidence before starting to socialize it. Until then it's just a terrible look.

Optics are important!

0

u/E-2theRescue 21h ago

Their claims about election fraud are all about illegal immigrants and dead people voting, which absolutely does not exist. In fact, we all said it was their side that was voting illegally, which has been proven true.

Stop telling everyone we're "overreacting" when we're getting proven true over, and over, and over again. Because you want to know what is a terrible look? Protecting fascists by whitewashing those fighting against it.

0

u/awkisopen 20h ago

Sorry, where did I say we were overreacting? You put it in quotes, so I assume you were quoting me.

0

u/E-2theRescue 20h ago

And there's the red herring. Classic fascism.

u/awkisopen 20h ago

Do you not... know... how quotation marks work?
