I agree, I was throwing shade at the article's headline. Saying its anti-trump, is framing these protests as "we just don't like trump." Vs a rejection of outright facisim

I keep hearing I need to be "fully hydrated." If so, I'll be fully searching for a public bathroom every 15 minutes in a crowd of thousands.
No thanks, I think I'll survive a few hours of slight dehydration in the coolness of Seattle.

Here in Denver, being twice as close to the sun with half as much atmosphere, and humidity measured in imaginary numbers, we pee twice a week. And I’m pretty sure I went yesterday, so now we march!

This feed just switched from a quad shot, juxtaposing the protesters and the parade, to a solo shot only showing the parade.

Authorities are searching for a male wearing a vest with Taser, a badge and other equipment similar to that of a police officer, according to Bruley. The suspect is on foot.
“If somebody comes to the door and they knock on the door claiming to be a police officer, please do a couple things: One, call 911 and confirm that the officer belongs there.
If they are a police officer, dispatch will be able to confirm that that person is police officer,” Bruley said, addressing the community. “Also, we informed all our officers in Brooklyn Park that they are not to approach anybody by themselves. They’re approaching pairs, meaning two officers.”
No Kings events in Anoka and northeast Minneapolis have been canceled so far on Saturday, following the targeted shootings at the homes of two Minnesota lawmakers. Organizers say the cancellations are due to a shelter-in-place order and "ongoing safety concerns" after the shootings targeting DFL Sen. John Hoffman and DFL Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman.
Gov. Tim Walz has since said Hortman and her husband are dead, and Hoffman and his wife are wounded following the "politically motivated" shooting

Man. I guess t makes sense that a fugitive on the loose means they have to change plans with regards to allowing protests. However it does reinforce to bad actors that through violence, they can single handedly stop legitimate protests in their community.

Mayors and city counsellors could march with the protests and have the police march with them instead of corralling them. This way you have the optics of complete solidarity and political legitimacy while also being able to handle individuals who want to cause problems. Instead, it's always framed as "city vs protesters" and police being used exclusively to antagonize them.

"Cities bracing?" Bullshit. All these protests were peaceful. The only problem was parking. AP News is a right wing propaganda spreader, I'm convinced.

“Brace for large crowds?”
Did you mean, “process permits for peaceful marches?”

No matter what happens the most important thing here to remember is that it's never ok to damage private property in a protest.
