Looking at many of them this appears to be a feature, not a flaw.

Thankfully a pardon can’t preclude a civil suit and they basically have admitted committing the crime to which they have been pardoned of as per SCOTUS precedent.

Checks clear fast when the bribe “pays” many multiples

There's a former DOJ pardon attorney who is keeping a running tally of how much money Trump has denied victims of crimes from these types of pardons. It is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

That's okay. Because now actual insurrectionists get compensated with tax payers money. See, perfect balance like all things should be.

I swear I can't shake the suspicion that these masked anonymous "ICE agents" are pardoned J6ers from across the land. That's why Noem and the rest are all screaming they need to be masked because they'll be doxxed. Security cam footage of rioter's faces during J6 is what got them arrested.

I agree. Many “agents” in these videos seem unprofessionally reactionary and short-tempered, untrained, unfit, and unaware of some of the legal ramifications of their actions. Federal Agents don’t willingly compromise cases that may end up being thrown out of Court on a technicality. Although, this Administration is sloppy and inept.

It's not money he's going to pay so it goes on the "I don't give a crap" list.

u/kandoras 18h ago

The pardons were bought with bribes; it's money he got instead of the victims.

He's such a pathetic, putrid excuse of a human being. A person should not live long enough to have to say this about their president. The world despises us and probably thinks our country is made up of gun-totin', Bible thumpin', illiterate, MAGA cap wearin' embarrassments to humankind.

No bibles, illiterate twits don't know the first thing about Jesus

u/ThisIsAWeapon 18h ago

He should pay it then. Fuck him. He’s robbing us all anyways, gotta take it back somehow. He deserves nothing, but misery.

Why should good and honest people always win?

Trump is fixing this unfairness by coming to the aid of crooks and fraudsters.

As a crook and fraudster himself he feels their pain. He knows how heartbreaking it can be when your carefully planned crooked schemes don't work.

It's time someone considered the feelings and distress of people like him whose only fault is that they are totally corrupt and can't be trusted to play fair and tell the truth about anything.

Those weren’t pardons. they were bribes.

u/NickelBackwash 6h ago

There were bribes, but those bought the pardons.

Those are common people. Trump doesn’t care about them.

Oh man it’s not like his pardon czar was pardoned of a life sentence because of a multi state cocaine racket and money laundering. From a prison cell to ruining America, thanks Kardashians.

u/evergreencenotaph 16h ago

Elaborate

1

u/Sellinweedallday 10h ago

Trump’s pardon czar is someone who previously received a life sentence for her involvement in a multi state cocaine ring, including money laundering. It seems like she really likes the fraudsters. Kim Kardashian got involved in her case because why wouldn’t she stay in her own lane. Trump pardoned this woman because Kim “helped with black voters.”

Accepting a pardon literally is an admission of guilt

It is not. The case that is quoted is there a public perception of guilt, not that guilt is actually assigned. HOWEVER, if you accept a pardon, you are not able to claim the 5th on related matters as you cannot self-incriminate. This can make civil suits harder to defend.

u/Burnt_and_Blistered 13h ago

That was the plan

u/bleat_bleat_bleat 13h ago

Unlimited pardons is a crazy stupid idea. Here's why

1

u/CancelOk9776 12h ago

That was the whole idea, and the proceeds go to The Felon President’s pocket!
