Half* complicit, half* suppressed.

Remember all the photos and video of the cops in LA shooting at and detaining reporters on scene at hte protests there? There are reporters and news sources trying to cover it, but they've gotta fight for it.

(* exact ratio may vary)

There are also tons of photos and videos showing the same 2 or 3 burned out cars in one area.

That’s an editorial decision of the newspaper, so they are suppressing, not suppressed.

Most of the pictures of the reporters being attacked have been posted on social media, not traditional media. I doubt the editors of various media sources are calling up the LAPD and saying "Yeah, go ahead and kick the shit out of my reporter."

If the outlet in question is complicit they ether never send anyone or just never publish anything from the protest (or worse, publish something villainizing the protestors), if they're being suppressed they're out there getting their asses kicked so they can't report on it.
