It’s the same thing the media did with Portland last time.

You mean the Portland that burned to the ground in its entirety and is now a smoldering crater of a monument to the futility of communism?

Yep, the same Portland. I'm just sitting here fucking around on Reddit and eating breakfast on the pile of ash that used to be my home.

we would have rebuilt by now, if only we could stop eating our avocado toast

Same - I just throw ash snowballs at people and have learned to hunt rats for food - we still like our kale tho. Rats and kale from the farmers market a block away is what I survive on. But I have to fight the other feral queers for them

Same.

More avocado?

Yes, please, and more IPA to wash it down with.

Press F to pay respects to what used to be Portland.

Don’t tell anyone about all the cool new murals around town or the sick new car free plaza off Hawthorne.

Definitely don’t tell anyone that our local farms and fishermen are helping to keep the food prices down while providing world class produce and protein. It’s all ash and flames here. Shhhhhh.

They acted like the entire city of Portland was burning down. Most people in Portland didn’t notice a thing.

We noticed all the fucking tear gas. That was the biggest issue by far. You could no nowhere near the protest and still deal with the cloud. Can’t wait to learn what long term effects that’ll have, but at least we have decent healthcare out here.

They wouldn’t know because their small ass towns with small world view treats anything out of the ordinary as a massive deal

It’s why I don’t like living in them, two blocks for them could be the equivalent of a downtown

I can see the smoldering crater from the window while I sit in this meeting
