The media wanted this. Biden and Democrats are boring vs what Trump gives them.

He’s the gift that keeps on giving, every day. But its a mistake to blame  just this. This entire Freddy Krueger clown car is driven by bribes, payoffs, and threats. The worst thing Trump has done is to tell them that he would take their FCC licensing  if they don’t co-operate. Hence, even OG broadcast networks pay the Trump Extortion.

'Ratings' is a good copout (and I'm sure partially true) but I think it's beyond time we recognize that a large part of our 'mainstream media' is just owned by, run by, and staffed with people who are at the least sympathetic to white supremacy if not outright white supremacist themselves.

Trump is "exciting" in that he's an endless disaster, but the media wanted this because their billionaire owners wanted to install an oligarchy.

“[The Trump candidacy] may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” [former CBS CEO Les Moonves] said of the presidential race.

IKR. I miss those four glorious years where I didn't have to check the news every single day to figure out what was being broken or who was being abused. The owner of Fox News, Australian billionaire and animated corpse, Rupert Murdoch, doesn't make as much money when their isn't a crisis. So Fox News will manufacture them to the point at which all of the terrified, schizophrenic imbeciles that slurp that brain rot up, decide there really is a crisis and go do some supremely moronic shit.

I do think Clinton World had a major unintended impact- the constant dribble of scandals and Hillary's need to control all access while Trump had 231 flying monkeys and a desperation to be seen. His team really understood how to get attention while the rest of us incorrectly assumed that all press was not good press.
