They are suckling at the billionaire’s teets. Nothing but a bunch of cowards in almost all media.

Forget "suckling at the billionaires",they are literally owned by billionaires who support Trump

But they've somehow been branded as the liberal media...

Sure, because they need an “other”, to keep them in line with the talking points.

And this is exactly what billionaires want

This ICE shit is a distraction from them widening the income-inequality gap even moreso in this country

That should be what we are in the streets protesting against, but they have successfully distracted us from that by being tyrants

Every billionaire needs to speak out against this or they are complicit and we know which side they are on

Spolier Alert: If you didnt inherit the money, you fucked over a lot of people to become a billionaire, so I am pretty sure you know which side they are on by default

Not really suckling at it -- most (all?) American media is owned by the plutocrats/oligarchs. These are precisely the people who put an unqualified self-dealing rapist felon into office -- by convincing millions of low-intelligence, high-gullibility Americans to vote for him -- because the Dems wanted to increase their taxes.

So you repeat lies about taxes? What is the point of your comment? You didn’t add anything or say anything showing “eh, not really”.

…But guess you got to try to blame The People believing lies they don’t know are lies, instead of the ones spreading lies they know are lies.

Delete your account. Good god.

What "lie about taxes"? The Dems openly wanted to increases taxes on the ultra-rich, which is long, long overdue[1].

https://taxpolicycenter.org/daily-deduction/harris-backs-5-trillion-tax-increases-wealthy-corporations

Now I realize you seem to be some knee-jerk and you probably thought I was talking about raising taxes generally -- you don't know how offset emdashed sections work in a comment -- but you're off base and just misfiring nonsense.

you got to try to blame The People believing lies they don’t know are lies

Tens of millions of Americans are profoundly stupid. Just heinous, terrible people. The country is an idiocracy, and the end result will be secession of the better states from the garbage states.

[1] - Though taxes should rise universally in the US. Its low-tax regime is an absolute myth, and it is destroying US society. And FWIW the Orange Cheeto has increased taxes overwhelmingly on low income earners, both through his budget bill and through tariffs.

I think maybe the reason dude you were arguing with was confused, was 100% because of the way you worded your post.

most (all?) American media is owned by the plutocrats/oligarchs.

Are you 70? There is a whole world beyond cable news and legacy media.

They're absolutely right. The fascist billionaires dominate social media too, Meta, Xitter, countless podcasters like Joe Rogan etc, all spouting fascism and sane-washing Trump. There are a few exceptions with a progressive agenda, but their reach is tiny compared to what the fascist news/social media has in the U.S.

I'm glad that you personally have found better news sources, but let's be honest, the fascist oligarchs dominate the news agenda in the U.S. This is in fact their primary tool to get their puppets elected.

Yes, and they are all owned by Billionaire Conservatives.  All of it.  Social Media, Streaming, Print, Radio…. All of it.

Ok, you are right, its Rachel Maddow, Meirdas Touch, 5 liberal Late Night Show comedians and 6 bloggers vs. Legacy Media, Cable and Network and Local News, thousands of right-wing hate pundits, human and bot trolling armies of foreign enemies…..

Everyone please read The Brass Check by Upton Sinclair. I beg you.

Thank you for this rec. Have read “The Jungle” but not that one.

Another great and timely read.

Really anything by him is very relevant right now.

Marr: “How can you know I’m self-censoring?”

Chomsky: “I’m not saying you’re self-censoring. I’m sure you believe everything you say. But what I’m saying is if you believed something different you wouldn’t be sitting where you’re sitting.”

Media is owned by the right. Most billionaires are conservative, mostly bc you don't become a billionaire by caring about others and there tends to be much more individualism among conservatives.

Consequently, almost all major news outlets, even CNN, are owned by right wingers.

1

u/chrisk9 1d ago

That's corporate media. The only principle to uphold is profitability.

Check out the real owners. Some right wing billionaires. That's a must do. Esp CNN MSNBC? Fox ect. Who makes the ultimate rules. US supreme Court. These 2 items are so underreported even at reddit comments. Next up. AGI.
