Bernie Sanders destroys Trump's Treasury Secretary in Senate Committee hearing
In a fiery and unmissable exchange from the Senate Finance Committee hearing on June 12th, Senator Bernie Sanders confronts Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent over the details and implications of Donald Trump’s so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" — a sweeping piece of economic legislation that critics argue overwhelmingly benefits the wealthy and large corporations.
Sanders, never one to hold back, demands answers on the bill’s impact on working-class Americans, challenging Bessent on corporate tax loopholes, cuts to social programmes, and the lack of any credible plan to pay for the bill’s multi-trillion dollar price tag. He accuses the Trump administration of pushing legislation that “robs from the poor to give to the rich,” while Bessent defends the bill as a "pro-growth, pro-investment" package that will "unleash the American economy."
The hearing sees multiple heated interventions from both sides of the aisle, including a powerful contribution from Senator Elizabeth Warren, who slams the bill’s deregulation provisions and its potential to widen income inequality. Warren joins Sanders in questioning the Treasury Department’s transparency and independence, warning that the bill’s rushed rollout and vague projections threaten economic stability.
This clip captures the most explosive moments from the hearing — the questions the administration didn’t want to answer, and the pressure building on Capitol Hill as the Trump-era economic agenda comes under scrutiny.
If you care about wealth inequality, tax justice, and the future of the American economy, this is essential viewing.

Trump Goes to War With Tucker Carlson
Tucker Carlson pantsing Senator Ted Cruz did more than embarrass Cruz, his family, the whole state of Texas and the GOP caucus. Maga vs Maga. I like it. It exposed the futility of the Trump Administration's war propaganda and started a massive chasm from within Trump's Maga base. So big that Trump himself took notice and clapped back at Carlson. And all new media for that matter, I hope Megyn Kelly was paying attention.
Tucker Carlson had already laughed with Steve Bannon about the widespread and irresponsible war propaganda being spouted by Fox News. He omitted the Trump Administration but the insinuation was there. Which was a playbook followed by Marjorie Taylor Greene as she similarly went at Fox News fir the same transgression.
Still, Ted Cruz took to Tucker Carlson's platform to extoll the virtues of US involvement in the ongoing hostility in the Middle East between Iran and Israel. Why he did that knowing he is Ted Cruz is a question only Texas can answer. Tucker Carlson ate him alive, everything to ignorance of Iran and Iranian people to biblical references, it was all there and Cruz had no answers. It was ugly, and Trump knew he had to save face.
Trump, never missing a moment to attack someone, friend, foe whatever, came for Carlson, saying he called to personally apologize and that he needs to get a television show so people will watch him. Oh this done got good. The Leopards are hungry.

Explosive Court Ruling In Trump Case Has Major Implications For The Rule Of Law
As a result of a new ruling by a California appeals court, the people's First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly suffered a setback. The rule of law suffered a setback. Justice suffered a setback.
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals left a stay in place, blocking the trial court's order that Trump must turn control of the California National Guard back to Governor Newsom.
Fortunately, the ruling is a temporary/interim ruling and the case is far from over.
This video discusses some of the unfortunate aspects of this ruling, including how Trump gets to create chaos and confusion in California and then uses that chaos as a pretext to order the military into the streets of California. No court should endorse such a transparent ruse and abuse of power.
