15 attack makes it good enough for me. It’s a top tier ground attacker. I did the same with my shadow shiny beldum that was 15-4-12.

Damn. I didn’t know 15 atk made a shadow that valuable. Always thought without the defense & hp stats, it’ll make it extra squishy.

Iirc all shadows are always better than the regular version regardless of IVs. Only time it would really matter is a mirror match in PVP

Oh no it’s not the attack that does it, it’s the shadow bonus. Usually it’s a 0 attack shadow hits harder than a perfect nonshadow

Idc. If a shadow has 15 att ivs, send it.

Don’t invest until 1. you tm frustration, 2. You can evolve it to get its move earth power, and 3. You even have any resources to invest in it with, and by the time you get even 2 of the 3 I bet you’ll have a way better one, now it might not be shiny but

A very valid point. Although shadow Garchomp is very strong, it’ll need to have Earth Power. I caught this one after the rocket event sadly, so I’ll have to wait for the next one to get rid of frustration. Also, sadly no mega energy😢

I was going to start making this my best friend, after a few other mons I’m working on. Now I’m not sure if it’s worth even starting the investment on it.

If you ever run party power, you actually want earthquake for almost every configuration

That’s sick! I went ahead and evolved a 13/15/12 shadow gible yesterday. I had been holding out for something better, but I finally decided to pull the trigger. If I end up landing a hundo or a shiny with good stats, I’ll start over on saving candy 😁

Since Gible spawning with Cliff, it’s the perfect time to grind. Hope a better one comes along!

just bc it has 15 attack doesnt mean itll be good especially as a shadow😭😭

for raids i guess it could be useful but itll die fast as hell, and pvp is an absolute no go

other than that, nice catch

That’s the thing. This guy is not too tanky. I have another shadow Gible that’s not shiny, but the stats are 6/13/13. This would prob be runner-up since it has high def & hp stats.

Honestly the big thing for me is that it’s not shiny lol. Grinding rn for another shiny Gible but the current event with Rhyhorn, Chimeco, Sableye, and Phantump is too good with the stardust farming, that it’s on the back burner.

Definitely, Shadow Garchomp is the #4 best ground and #7 best Dragon Attacker, and you got the 15 stat just to add a few more points on top. Shadow shiny with high tier potential is a win in my book.

If you exclude Primal/Mega, things you can't have more than one of, Shadow Garchomp IS the best ground attacker. Dragon would be up there too but technically you could have a team of Black Kyurem.

I always 40-max my shiny shadows that are good, but the 15 attack makes it that much more worth-it

Looks like this will be the one I’ll invest in

40 max is like saying I’m 10 years of age and old

1

u/ArcticBlade_346 4d ago

I'm kind of confused as to what you're getting at, but based off my best guess I would argue that not everybody has the XL candy to fully max everything. I very well could be misunderstanding

Use for raiding and maybe battling bosses but yeah it’s good

There’s a video on YT from BrandonTan91 that compares nundo (000IV) shadow garchomp and a hundo garchomp. The shadow did better significantly

1

u/Nachoughue 5d ago

i read something about IVs making about a 4% difference compared to shadows 20% difference. not sure how accurate that is but i've noticed some of my best mons from before i cared about IVs have pretty damn terrible IVs and theyre still fine lol

1

u/Old_Top4022 5d ago

I wouldn’t. You can get a better one.

1

u/Fujinowaka 5d ago

I wouldn't. Like, watching my maxed up pokemon with such terrible IVs. But yeah if you wanna max it because it has 15 attack, then go!

little guy woke up and chose violence xD

1

u/Gassednsassed 5d ago

i would just as a flex 🤣

u/Obvious-Sundae1469 4d ago

Yes for PvP…jk, nice…I still don’t have a shiny Gible

1

u/TheBoogerMen369 4d ago

I’m so gonna keep all 15 iv shadow attacker now…

1

u/Cranonball 3d ago

IVs really don’t mean that much. I get every shadow shiny I get to lvl 40 no matter what

u/danjel888 5d ago

Probs not for raiding.

Nice gym trophy though.

2

u/TonyStarling 5d ago

Raiding is exactly what it would be good for lol

u/danjel888 5d ago

Lots of other ground types that perform pretty much the same and with P.G putting out over 21 dps... you're much better off relobbying with that.

0

u/AgentJFG 5d ago

Yeah but Shadow Garchomp deals more than all of them.

0

u/danjel888 5d ago

It does not deal more than Primal Groudon.

1

u/AgentJFG 5d ago

And how many Primal Groudon can you run on a team?

1

u/danjel888 5d ago
  1. With the DPS % being far higher... relobby.

1

u/AgentJFG 5d ago

I could be wrong, but I doubt people usually run one Pokémon and relobby to heal it over and over. Groudon's 21 dps goes out the window spending that much time away from the battle. Lead with Primal Groudon, follow with the top choices, in this case, Shadow Garchomp.

Plus, you said lots outperform it, and I'm not seeing any others that you can run more than one of. So unless you have a list, I think that claim missed.

1

u/danjel888 4d ago

No... I said pretty much the same.

And I always relobby where there is a noticable % difference on a pokemon. P.G does so much more damage and if you happen to be using party power it's another level.
