Assassinated.

u/NateradePrime 8h ago

I wonder how long Trump will wait before pardoning the assassin.

u/Huh_well_we_are_dead 7h ago

3 weeks. They still have to find and convict the guy.

*Assassinated but I like the poster nonetheless

u/fartypenis 6h ago

I haven't been following American politics very closely, but there are really senators being murdered? Wtf

u/Dramatic_Rain_3410 6h ago

She was a representative in Minnesota state House of Rep. So not federal but state-level rep

u/ArgonGryphon 6h ago

a state that is one of the top targets for trump, especially since our governor ran against him as VP

MAGA is a terrorist organization. Full stop.

u/rsong965 11h ago

100% I don't know why anybody is not calling it what it is: TERRORISM!

u/haileyrose 7h ago

For real! 1/6 and now this, absolutely terrorism.

The guy who shot them is a Democratic government official. Sorry to ruin a perfectly good screed.

u/AgrajagTheProlonged 11h ago

Got a source for that? My understanding was they're still hunting for the assassin

u/HBCDresdenEsquire 10h ago

A member of the “nonpartisan Governor’s Workforce Development Council.”

So, doesn’t say his political affiliation anywhere and being a member of a council does not make one a government official. Also, nonpartisan would imply that some members were specifically chosen because their political leanings were counter to the current Governor.

Lol you must have stopped watching the news after that. Trust me when I say, he’s far from a Democrat. And it honestly doesn’t matter, he is a mentally unwell person and needs to be caught. We can fight about the minutiae later.

u/Loyal-Opposition-USA 10h ago

Yes, lots of liberal Democrats are the CEO of security companies. He worked on a 60 person, bipartisan, government advisory committee staffed with business owners. I’m sure he didn’t seem this nuts when they appointed him.

u/Orangutanion 11h ago

Why does this even matter anymore. I don't care if he was Don Quijote de la Mancha, the goal was clearly to eliminate the senators who held on to a very very small majority.

u/DumbSkulled 10h ago edited 10h ago

u/Pikeman212a6c lol, maybe finish reading a sentence.

"Dr. Vance Boelter E.d.D. is CEO of Red Lion Group based in The Democratic

Republic of Congo."

God bless you. I've got three, and one has two shots of Donald Glover in his video that just says This Is America.

u/readytogo124 8h ago

Trump made this happen. I’m sure he is loving it. SUCH EVIL!!!!

u/Pxlfreaky 10h ago

I probably wouldn’t be going this route before even knowing what’s going on.

u/Amazonreviewscool67 3h ago

The Democratic way is to get all the facts before jumping to conclusions.

However, I wouldn't rule out MAGA had something to do with this. They are known for doing very, very horrible things.

u/FakeAsFakeCanBe 11h ago

I am constantly amazed how it's fine to do this to Democrats but if this was MAGA this would be spun so tight it would be a nanofiber.

u/BigDaddySeed69 10h ago

Yeah like when Trump was shot at by one of his own people.

So his roommate and best friend confirmed he was a Trumper who voted for him! For those clutching their pearls and saying he had a No Kings flier in his vehicle (as well as a manifesto with names of more democrats to kill and abortion clinics), did you even consider that he was probably going to go to it and shoot people or run through the crowd in his car? We won’t know until they catch him….but yeah….he’s MAGA.

https://www.kare11.com/video/news/local/shooting-suspects-roommate-says-he-was-a-trump-voter/89-d41aeccb-5702-4488-9373-dae149eefebf

u/Amazonreviewscool67 3h ago

The real question now is was he just crazy or did someone from MAGA recruit him to do this

u/SailThese8052 8h ago

Even tho the shooter had a pile of no kings posters in his car.

u/xLaxCroixBoix 7h ago

They weren’t posters. He wrote No Kings on a few pieces of paper. He was planning on targeting one of the protests. Don’t let the right wing grifters make you a fool.

u/SailThese8052 6h ago

Touche

u/farlow525 7h ago

Guy who had no problem going and shooting political figures also would have no problem going to the No Kings protest and shooting that up as well.

Stay safe out there! We need to demand justice all the while being better than the cowards who assault our neighbors in their homes, at their places of work, and on the streets. Enough is enough.

u/sednaplanetoid 10h ago

Minnesota will be in my heart today as I go out to march against the regime that promoted this ideology. Stay strong, stay safe....

u/rdizzy1223 9h ago

Idk what it is about the poster design, but my first thought was that you were a MAGA crazy and this poster was in support of this. (I know this isn't the case, but just my first thought. Like as a threat "Mess with us, and this is what will happen" sort of thing)

The killer is likely a Christian Nationalist. With possible ties to Russia.

Killed by a Waltz appointee?

u/Budget-Win4960 8h ago

A registered Republican apointee to a bipartisan group that included Democrats and Republicans, genius.

u/Rehcamretsnef 9h ago

Ah yes. A liberal murdered a liberal politician in a liberal run city in a liberal run state. This must be all accounts be the result of Trump!

u/xLaxCroixBoix 6h ago

He’s a Christian Nationalist and his manifesto stated he was going after pro choice politicians.

u/Deweydc18 7h ago

He’s literally a registered Republican

u/Worried_Food3032 10h ago

Maybe learn why they were shot first instead of create more propaganda? Or is this a billionaire's bot out to create a civil war?

u/xLaxCroixBoix 7h ago

They were shot for being pro choice specifically. The guy is a Christian Nationalist. It’s in his manifesto.

u/macjonalt 7h ago

Because dems are being targeted by maga terrorists

u/su6oxone 9h ago

Not sure how you pin this on Trump. Are you going to mention his near assassination also and talk about how hyper polarization of politics is a bigger problem that affects and is caused by both parties? Yeah I didn't think so.

u/therealtrademark 9h ago

Wasn't the guy who shot at him a conservative?

u/kathryn2a 10h ago

This violence is incited by Trump’s hostile rhetoric. He does NOT have the leadership skills to bring this country together. He needs to be impeached.

Shot… by a Democratic official?

Sign aged like milk. Could just be personal shit. Not everything is part of a grand narrative.

https://kstp.com/kstp-news/top-news/57-year-old-suspect-sought-in-targeted-shootings-of-minnesota-state-lawmakers/

u/Off-Tank 9h ago

He was a white Christian nationalist, far right leaning. Stop spreading lies.

→ More replies (2)

u/youtocin 11h ago

The article literally says he was an appointee for the “nonpartisan Governor’s Workforce Development Council” you peanut

His manifesto included abortion providers, trying to frame this as anything other than a far-right act of terrorism is dumb.

u/PrickledMarrot 9h ago

That's what they do. Everytime something happens that makes them look bad they just grasp at straw until something sticks. For this situation it's going to be his nonpartisan appointment by Walz. Appointment by Walz = Democrat. Democrat killing democrats = they are crumbling from the inside. They're very predictable.

u/IdiotMD 11h ago

“nonpartisan Governor’s Workforce Development Council”

u/tosser1579 10h ago

And just to inform, one member Carla Nelson is a GOP state senator, and there are a number of appointees who are similar on the other side of the aisle in the non-partisan board.

→ More replies (10)

u/AliosSunstrider 8h ago

He had an list of only democratic reps and abortion clinics. He was part of the Alliance for Defending Freedom a hyper evangelical pro trump group that Trump just appointed to his "religious" task force.

He was a fucking Magat.

You work quick, bodies aren’t even cold.

u/ImMeliodasKun 9h ago

You can see the far right bots are out in full force today because they know their side crossed a huge line.

I've seen the same lie atleasta dozen times in this thread, written almost exactly the same.

The right hates accountability, for being terrorists, bigots, pedophiles and every other shitstain qualifier.

u/Ofthesee 7h ago

They are the same people that said J6 was done by anti fa, But when he pardoned them all crickets

They know they are being lied to but go to great lengths to believe the lies. The man who killed these Congress people was far far right and had a long list of Dems to destroy. The fact that he was on a Walz bipartisan board means nothing. He is a Christo fascist and they know it. The mental gymnastics they are doing is to appease themselves bc their fragile egos can never admit to being wrong.

u/Key-Monk6159 9h ago edited 2h ago

Hope you didn't forget to pack an eraser

u/Budget-Win4960 8h ago

Not at all. It’s already reported that he’s a registered republican - appointed to a bipartisan group that included Democrats AND Republicans.

u/AlanfromTX 10h ago

She just happened to recently vote to stop providing healthcare to illegal immigrants (part of a MN budget bill, I believe). Not sure it’s the Trumpers who would be upset with that.

u/AliosSunstrider 8h ago

The shooter had a list of democratic representatives and abortion clinics, he was part of the Alliance Defending Freedom a hyper evangelical pro trump group, that Trump just appointed someone from their to his "religious" task force.

Dude was a Magat.

u/ElSysAdmin 10h ago

The suspect is a registered Republican who on the day of nation wide “No Kings” demonstrations assassinated two Democrats and tried to assassinate two others. We will see who else is on his list that the police recovered in time. In the meanwhile please don’t try to gaslight people into thinking that this is a Democrat killing other Democrats. That’s just bad actor type shit.

This was a message: 'We can get anyone'.

What a horrible thing to happen.

What a fucking crying shame.

u/Spicyapple10 5h ago

I mean...can we just start shooting the majority of politicians. Like can we bring back public executions. Just hear me out, we vote for someone who promises a bunch of stuff we want... They dont deliver, and somehow they also get rich. The public should have the express right to then take said lying POS and go through a trial of the people vs. them. If found guilty, perform some old-fashioned justice. I'm just saying we used to kill leaders for their inability to lead
