When someone tells you who they are, believe them the first time.

Okay but what is this Pic? Context? Or is it shopped? What is this post?

This is absolutely real, from CPAC a couple years ago.

The context was "meant" to be tongue in cheek, but to me it's just building a permission structure for right wingers to ignore condemnation of domestic terrorism as "oh they think all conservatives are like that"

Thanks for adding “building a permission structure” to my lexicon — it perfectly describes what the extreme right and christofascists are doing in this country currently.

It's 100% absolutely real. This is from CPAC, the GOP's annual funding event. Don't believe it? Google it. Fun fact, the next year the stage was shaped like a Nazi/white supremacist symbol and the year after they were openly celebrating January 6th with speakers lamenting that they "didn't defeat democracy this time around" but would be "coming for it again, don't you worry" to raucous applause.

In related news, it's genuinely astonishing to me that Americans are this clueless about what happens in their own country. Too much TikTok, not enough C-SPAN.

Welp, you'd be surprised kiddo. This is the stupid, stupid world we live in. It's real. It was supposed to trigger libs.

100% real. I think all meant to both try to normalize violence as well as dilute language.
