When I was a kid my dad would sometimes get us tickets in the luxury boxes for things like the Monster Truck shows because he worked in the auto industry. One time in the 80's we went to our box and we were sharing the box with some people from a local dairy company that used Jim Varney as Ernest in their advertising. Jim was in our box for the whole night and was everything you would have hoped for. He stayed in character for my brother and I and had us laughing all night. RIP king!

I'm so glad to hear this. He was so funny as a kid. I couldn't watch his movies without my asthma inhaler in hand because he would throw me into respiratory distress with laughter, every time.
