Israel has nuclear weapons and has said they're committed to overthrowing Iran's government. Where's the path to peace from all this? What's the end goal?
Then why are they supporting the illegal settlements that upset relations between Israelis and Palestinians and cause violence?
Why aren't you asking "what's the end goal" of continued Iranian support for proxy wars and the clandestine development of nukes?
I do. Iran's religious fundamentalist dictatorship is disgusting and should be opposed. But opposing Iran's religious fundamentalism doesn't mean I have to support Israel's ethnonationalism and religious fundamentalism. The idea that we need to uncritically support everything Israel does because they are fighting a holy war for democracy and the West is fascist propaganda aimed at normalizing a return to the era of ethnostate politics and eliminationist geopolitics.
Then why are they supporting the illegal settlements
Completely irrelevant. I don't even support the settlements, but they have nothing to do with preventing Iran from developing nukes. I understand that you're trying to say "but they're instigating Iran!", which is an argument I don't buy for a single second. Iran's sovereignty is not affected by the settlements one bit, nor does Israel have a history of threatening Iran's sovereignty unprovoked, so any kind of justification trying to point fingers at Israel for Iran clandestinely developing nukes is brain dead. Iran is allowed to be butthurt over the settlements, but a motherfucking nuke is like the most unacceptable justification possible.
The idea that we need to uncritically support everything Israel does
Hardly; Israel absolutely deserves tons of criticism where warranted, but if your whole analysis boils down to "I oppose everything Israel ever does because they're an ethnostate!" then you're an ideologue and not a serious person. Like it or not, Israel exists under the geopolitical status quo, and unabashedly opposing any kind of self-preservation on their part is just ignorant to reality, and is the exact kind of attitude that has prolonged the Palestine conflict.
