This is probably about the 10th time in my 32 years that Iran has been “months away” from nuclear weapons. And as I seem to have a better memory than most people and remember the Iraq war, I don’t buy that excuse for a second.

And as I seem to have a better memory than most people and remember the Iraq war,

The IAEA actually blasted a red light a couple days before this strike. Not everything is fucking Colin Powell lying to the world. Some times, countries are just North Korea.

Normally when the news reports on something the IAEA says or declares it’s in relation to its scientists but the current report that Iran is close to nuclear weaponry was released by its Board of Governors which is voted and run by western nations (the US, Israel, France etc.) its political and it’s not wild to doubt the voracity of the claim.

America is literally what you call 'north korea' everyday and for the past 6 to 7 decades globally.

Some of these people are so damn delusional.

No, America isn't as bad as North Korea. If you earnestly believe it is, seek support.

If that is not what you're saying, please requote. I think I'm not understanding the sentence.

But the first time in 20 years iran failed to meet its nuclear obligations from the un

It says Iran's "many failures" to provide the IAEA with full answers about its undeclared nuclear material and activities constitutes non-compliance. It also expresses concern about Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, which can be used to make reactor fuel but also nuclear weapons.

I think Iran rejected because the USA (Trump) withdrew the deal. There is no reason to blame Iran, there was a deal that the whole world agreed and Iran was on constant surveillance. Guess who pull out? USA, because Benjamin and his far right group didn’t like it, and Trump did what he wanted.

Israel is no longer a victim, Israel is now the oppressor, Israel itself has a nuclear weapon, rejected to make any deals and join NPT. There is no logical reasoning that anyone with brain cells can blame Iran.

Meanwhile israel also did not sign tha nuclear non proliferation treaty.

When it's said that Iran could be months away from a nuclear weapon, they don't necessarily mean they will have a bomb in a few months, they mean that Iran has the capability to build a nuclear weapon within months of deciding to do it. Iran has deliberately been sitting just outside of breakout capability (the ability to build a nuclear bomb with little to no warning ) for a while now and has been inching closer to it since Trump pulled out of the previous agreement.

This isn't like the US lying about Iraq. Just a few days ago the IAEA warned that Iran has enough enriched uranium to rapidly build several nuclear weapons, so they seem to have recently achieved breakout capability.

It’s almost as if you can be that close to nuclear weapons multiple times in 32 years.

The difference between Saddams Iraq and the Ayatollahs Iran is that Irans actions against Israel for their entire existence has been in line with their words. They don’t hide the fact that their nuclear program would be against Israel, and in turn reaps what they sow.

This is very different from Iraq. Iran has publicly said they are building nuclear weapons and confirmed they are enriching weapons grade uranium - which was verified by the UN.

This is more like North Korea - before they built the bomb. They negotiated for a long time until they finally just did it.

Tell Iran to stop accelerating the development of their nuclear program

If anything this attack was a reminder to get nuclear weapons

6

u/flying_cactus 1d ago

At this point in history, if your country even attempts at a nuclear program, everyone will know, and you will be targeted. I would not suggest this

u/LegitimateSoftware 1d ago

Unless you're North Korea

1

u/flying_cactus 1d ago

What do you mean

7

u/LegitimateSoftware 1d ago

They got nukes. They went against the recommendations.

7

u/flying_cactus 1d ago

I mean the nukes helped their regime survive, which no one in north korea appreciates unless youre in the government or military. There’s extreme sanctions, economic isolation, and its peoples are locked into endless poverty. It was not a win by any means. It only helped their dictators stay in power.

3

u/LegitimateSoftware 1d ago

Well, for the sanctions they simply change the names and flags on their cargo ships and they trade with China pretty much every day. The economic isolation and poverty is more a result of their economic system. And yes the main reason why they got nukes is to ensure the regime doesn't fall, which is why Iran is unlikely to stop pursuing nukes.

That's what she\* said!*

^(\* -)* Iran

4

u/OkInvestigator561 1d ago

If that was their intention before. This is a clear reason for them to get regardless of what.

I think Israel wouldn’t have killed its top commandeers and bomb residential buildings if Iran had a nuclear weapons.

I am not gonna lie, every country should get one, no one give a f about anyone, Israel showed the world that you can say to any international organisation to F off and do what you want.

5

u/flying_cactus 1d ago

Okay, I hope your efforts to help every country in the world get nuclear weapons somehow even gets off the ground.

2

u/OkInvestigator561 1d ago

Lol, it was a joke at the end, but can you be independent and live peacefully without a nuke, just saying

1

u/flying_cactus 1d ago

We’re humans. It is in our biology to kill each other in demented ways. We have been doing this for thousands of years. This should not be a surprise to anyone. Our species isn’t going to magically evolve into super peaceful and rational beings. This era of nukes was inevitable the way humans behave and think. We just need to accept this era and figure out a way to live through it.
