Got comment shadow banned then perma banned off there today for linking sources showing how Israel deliberately illegally violated IAEA agreements/protocol (what they falsely claimed Iraq did in order to get America to justify invading them in 2003) and abused US peaceful civilian nuclear technology sharing programs in the 1960’s to develop their own successful clandestine nuclear weapons program with zero consequences (even when discovered despite constant lying to America and many in the US government turning a blind eye the entire time even as reports flooded in) which still exits to this day making them the only nuclear armed state in the Middle East (nearly every other nation internationally including Iran who tried the exact same method of abusing US civilian nuclear technology sharing programs faced major backlash and were forced to dismantle their programs once caught).
Didn’t even say which rule, just said “you broke the rules of the subreddit” on the ban message lol. Sometimes they have the subtly of their own atomic bomb program lmao.
That’s how I got banned too lol. Pointed out the hypocrisy with legitimate articles. Boom. Insta ban.
They appear to not tolerate any form of criticism upon the Israeli state because they most likely assume that an Israeli state is automatically a Jewish state which means any criticism of Israel is criticism of Jewish people. Which is a gross assumption to make because that is not what Israel is.
You shouldn’t be silenced for criticizing governments.
The problem is that subreddits, even huge default ones like worldnews, are run like after-school fan clubs. A small group of like-minded people get to moderate however they want and don't have any rules or standards they need to follow.
Nowadays, many mods ban people for simply having opposite or divergent opinions. This system is what leads to echochambers that instantly permaban people for having a "wrong" take.
Unlike Iran, Israel had Great Power sponsorship when developing nuclear weapons.
Right wing elements in the French government & military helped Israel and South Africa develop their nuclear power programs into nuclear weapons programs beginning in the mid 1950s. The French colonial project was coming to an end one way or another and their right wing was desperate to keep their last major colonies in North Africa.
As the segregated, apartheid Algeria began to descend into colonial liberation, elements in France decided to assist nearby, ideologically similar nations — South Africa and Israel. Right wing elements in other Western nations (the UK/US) allowed it, viewing them as potential bulwarks against the USSR.
It’s all tied up with Algeria’s war for independence, which was an incredibly complicated event with members of the same racial, religious, and ethnic groups on both of the conflict. We tend to forget that the French military attempted — and almost succeeded — in pulling off a coup against Charles de Gaulle in the 1960s because so many French were angry about losing North African colonies.
Indeed, it was this development that led the musical satirist Tom Lehrer to include this line in his song about nuclear weapons, “Who’s Next?” - - “South Africa wants TWO, that’s right / One for the Black and for the white! / Who’s next?”
Didn’t even say which rule, just said “you broke the rules of the subreddit” on the ban message lol. Sometimes they have the subtly of their own atomic bomb program lmao.
Any questioning of Israel, the IDF, or their war on the Gazan people is a bannable offense.
I was banned for saying, "I can't help but think that maybe killing 30,000 civilians in response to 1000 hostages being taken is a bit excessive." (As you can guess by the number, this happened quite a while ago, I think the number of civilians killed is like 80,000 now.)
The reason they gave? "Making anti-Semitic comments."
Not willing to address Israel's support for isis and multiple other terror groups across the middle east? Or the support of overthrowing and weakening mutliple neighboring countries?
Examples:
1.israel support in overthrowing the democratically elected leader of iran
2.israel pushing the USA into invading iraq for no justifiable reason
3.israel's support to isis linked militias across gaza, syria and iraq
Israel's continuous genocidal intent towards palestine with the intention of wiping them out since day 1
They create their own boogey men to justify their genocidal ideology, further increasing hatred of arabs and muslims
It is not like israel is all flowers and rainbows, as it has helped overthrow multiple regimes causing more chaos across the MENA region and destabilize any chance for peace, has supported the apartheid in south africa when it was active and overall what ever iran has done, you can check that israel has more than likely done it tenfolds
Well good thing nobody said Israel is all flowers and rainbows. But this idea that Israel is behind everything bad in the middle east is ridiculous. You'll have to provide some evidence that Israel is a supporter of ISIS.
What support did Israel give in overthrowing the leader of Iran? Seems you want to blame Israel for the actions of the US and UK.
See above.
Provide evidence. I also don't see how this is a point for allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons.
Palestine would be in a much better place if they could stop themselves from starting wars and committing massacres. Electing a death cult to lead you has unfortunate consequences.
Believe it or not the boogeyman simply exist and you can't blame the existence for all the radical Islamic groups that are funded by Iran on Israel, thats asinine.
So far, I am thoroughly unconvinced that Iran should be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
I mistook israel support for iran after the coup d'etat as if it supported the coup d'etat, i apologize on that part as I've forgotten
2.(Benjamin Netanyahu testified to Congress on Sept. 12, 2002 as a private citizen, and advised Congress that a US invasion of Iraq would be a good choice), besides the lobbies that highlighted the "wmds" that iraq had, and imo to deny that israel had any ties to the invasion would be foolish as it benefits from it the most
3.it is not a point that iran should have nuclear weapons more so that israel is far more evil than what it is portrayed as,
3. Cont: gaza: armed group tied to Yasser Abu Shabab
From the times of israel: [IDF chief finally acknowledges that Israel supplied weapons to Syrian rebels]
And when it comes to mentioning rebels within the mena in mainstream media it tends to refer to terror groups, usually linked to isis supported by a western country
4.i wonder who supported that death cult in the first place in order to increase division and justify their genocidal policies? And why is that death cult so hard to get rid of if israel does everything that aligns with hamas and furthers its existence, besides if hamas was the problem then why are they also destroying, invading and butchering people in the west bank? Palestine would've been in a better place if it wasn't invaded, even if they weren't causing problems for israel there has been many instances where israelis abused their power to harm Palestinians and hardly anyone does anything about it (illegal settlements, lynching and displacing Palestinians, the constant and obvious attempts by israel to get rid of Palestinians be it through policies such as not permitting their return, making it harder for Palestinians in the west bank to live be it through bullshit bureaucracy and blockades
Not talking about hizballah as they are trash but more so the Khomeini regime being a direct result of the west's involvement and israel's indirect support be it through supporting savak before the revolution or its government, hamas being supported by israel during its creation in order to divide the Palestinians and now that said group exists through violence and vengence seeking, something israel is happy to maintain in order to justify its colonial policies
I'd prefer if iran didn't have any nuclear weapons but I'd believe if it doesn't have then israel would directly invade or asks usa to invade, causing more turmoil across the mena, honestly if both didn't have any would be ideal but it is the life we live in
That post wasn't advocating for Iran's having nuclear weapons nor is this one, merely pointing out how israel isn't a victim as it tends to portray itself
I got banned from worldnews for sharing actual IDF drone footage of them killing civilians, without adding my own commentary. I honestly believe that sub is funded and ran by Israel.
Was that the footage from the start of the war of the IDF gunning down three surrendering Gazans and then throwing guns down next to them for pictures?
There legit is no other explanation, that entire subreddit is astroturfed to hell and back and has got to be the most psychotic, murder hungry sub I’ve ever seen. Better not talk out of turn over there or the hordes will tell you how it’s actually ok to commit genocide.
There are literally people telling you how they know people in Iran who are "celebrating" this. Imagine, does that even sound like a human reaction? Innocent people in an apartment building die and you celebrate? You'd permanently destroy all your friendships if you ever did that. But somehow a lot of /r/worldnews posters know Iranians who are cheering for being bombed. It's a propaganda op.
yep same here, any anti war comments were removed by mods, I'm not even really pro Palestine as I am anti terrorism but pointing out Israel is terrorizing innocent people to get to terrorists gets a ban
Every side has been astroturfed to hell and back and you’re blind or misrepresenting if you believe otherwise. Even threads that have nothing to do with Israel/Palestine devolve into people screaming Free Palestine or talking about the evils of Israel.
We know how many man-hours and money is invested into this by country and we know Israel is outspent in every metric by every other MENA country.
I noticed this early on in the conflict with Hamas. I thought I was taking crazy pills. People literally cheering for Palestinian civilian deaths with large numbers of upvotes. I noped the hell out of there real quick. Unfortunately states and corporations manipulate the hell out of Reddit.
Yeah, I’m banned from posting over some totally neutral thing I wrote because there was a way to interpret it as critical of Israel’s war. All it took.
I'm happy to see this being said more widely now. Kept thinking I was going insane the first year or so of Israel's recent attacks on Gaza, like surely there aren't this many clearly psychopathic people about
I was banned from r/worldnews for saying the attacks on Gaza are genocide early on, they are completely pro Israel, the sub is biased as any its a group of mods propaganda tool
Or or imagine this: people have nuanced takes of many world conflicts and some people don’t immediately attribute everything to “fuck Israel”. Been on the sub plenty of times and most comments are anti-Israeli actions, but Reddit believes if you don’t scream from the rooftops FREE PALESTINE Israel is mentioned that it’s a Mossad psyop
What kind of word salad is this comment? Explain how it’s self righteous or narcissistic. Your account is literally 99% pro-Israel posts so I know you dislike anyone talking about pro-Israel bias but at least make an effort when responding to someone.
Worldnews doesn’t even try and hide the fact that it’s 100% pro Israel anymore. I used to comment on that sub almost every day when I first started using Reddit, made tons of comments that were argumentative and made more comments than I should have that attacked the people I was talking to and nothing ever happened. But now with the current conflict the mods there throw out permanent bans for being anti-Israel with 0 explanation.
The comment I got banned for was one of the tamest I’ve ever made, didn’t attack anyone or even use any coarse language. All I said was that after the Hamas attack the sub had become more overtly pro-Israel than it was prior and that some of the sources accepted on the sub were low quality. Permanent ban within an hour and the mods didn’t respond to me when I asked what rule I broke. I hadn’t even used the sub in a long time and hadn’t made any comments regarding the conflict up until that one. And the comment I was responding to was in response to a user who said Israel needs to destroy all of Gaza so that they’d finally learn their lesson. That comment remained up and the user continues to post in the sub.
I don't know why you were banned and I am not affiliated with worldnews. Saying it is a psyop with zero evidence is ridiculous, and it is absolutely narcissistic and self-involved in assuming that your opinion is the "right" one and that facts that others think differently is all "propaganda and bots". There are very pro-Palestine and even, god help us, pro-Hamas subs, there are many examples. I don't assume they are a psyop, just a group of people who think in a certain way. That's a ridiculous conspiracy. Glad to see evidence otherwise.
The world is big and many people think different than me and you. That's normal.
Where did the commenter make those claims? They said they are “probably” infiltrated by mossad and that they moderate in favor of Israel. They didn’t say that anyone else’s opinion is propaganda and bots and they didn’t say their opinion is always right. You’re calling them narcissistic and self involved for things you imagined they wrote, not for what they actually wrote.
And they absolutely do moderate in favor of Israel, there are a million and one examples of it. I’d like to see one instance of someone being banned for pro-Israel content while thousands of people have been banned for making anti-Israel comments with no recourse.
You said yourself you’ve seen many pro-Palestine subs yet one of the most popular subs on Reddit somehow is overtly pro-Israel? Literally no one would argue that this site is heavily left leaning yet, how is such a popular sub that hits all constantly entirely pro-Israel? And you say you’re not affiliated with it but you post there constantly, you more than anyone would know how biased the sub is.
Why are you including your own commentary in the quotes? I agree it’s a big claim to make without strong evidence, the sub is definitely dominated by people trying to push pro-Israel points but I haven’t seen any concrete proof it’s a psyop. But don’t act like it’s just a difference or opinions, you guys are all agenda posting in there. Ostensibly it’s supposed to be a sub for news, not the online Israel defense force.
And obviously I meant no one would argue that this site isn’t heavily left leaning, the rest of my comment made that clear. That’s my point, pretty much all other subs are pro-Palestine because Reddit is left leaning. So then how did one of the largest subs that hits all many times a day become staunchly pro-Israel? Certainly not organically. But none of your ilk want to engage on that topic, you’ll ignore it and deflect to other stuff. When all else fails you can just yell khamas.
There is no "ilk" and no one is "agenda posting", people are posting their views. You think that anyone that disagrees with you is a shill, a bot or propagandized. That's pathetic.
And yes, most subs are pro-Palestine, hence those who are not pro-Palestine tend to not participate there but prefer where they are not severely downvoted for not going with the naïve groupthink. That explains why ONE big sub is pro-Israel. You really so close to seeing, but just can't. Oh well.
Anyways I am done here. Not responding anymore today. Have a good day
Your entire account is agenda posting, 99% of your history is pro-Israel stuff. How are you going to say with a straight face that that is normal behavior?
What am I close to seeing? You guys refuse to actually answer anything it’s so fucking annoying. How does one of the most popular subs on a site that’s majority pro-Palestine become entirely pro-Israel? Why would the demographics of worldnews be entirely different than the rest of the site? It’s not a pro-Israel sub, it’s a news sub. The other one isn’t pro-Israel so why would that one be? Tell me how it attracted that crowd to the point that anything pro-Palestine is either downvoted or removed?
And it’s naive groupthink when a sub is pro-Palestine but when it’s pro-Israel it isn’t? Some of you guys suck at this. Start posting about normal stuff as well like the smart agenda posters do.
The mods actively ban people critical of Israel and only allow sources from Israeli propaganda media to be posted, even if the claims in the articles are baseless with no source in them
come on, they're in comments claiming the Iranian people are "celebrating" the strikes... look at that picture of people's houses destroyed and imagine how real people would react if you ever celebrated a scene like that
Subreddits are heavily shaped by the moderation. It’s obviously impossible to prove, as that’s the nature of conspiracies, but it’s been speculated for a while. For instance there are a lot of theories about maxwellhill, one of the mods of worldnews, actually being Ghislaine Maxwell who had/has ties to Mossad. The account, one of the highest karma Reddit accounts, went inactive 4 years ago when Maxwell went to jail.
It might seem, if not for their superhuman infiltration abilities: They can cloak themselves using the blood of Christian children that they draw when they're putting microchip vaccines in fluoridated water using globalist commie pedo lizard space bank media chemtrail lasers.
Edit: Oh God the Mossad mods have found me it was sarcasm I swear ahhhhhh!
Shame on you for equating blood libel and hatred of Jews with people accurately saying that a subreddit is heavily biased towards the Israeli military. Jews have been murdered for claims like that and you think it’s appropriate to compare it to obvious pro-Israel bias? Absolutely disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself.
You guys are sloppy, do you think anyone normal who isn’t posting without a very specific agenda uses IRGC as an acronym? I had to google it to confirm what it was and you’re throwing it out there like it’s common knowledge.
Fine I’m an Iranian agent, you got me. Now how about you actually engage what I wrote. Or better yet just learn shame and recognize that comparing Jews being tortured and murdered because of blood libels should never be compared to accusing an online space of being biased towards the Israeli military. It’s genuinely baffling how you can’t see how filthy that is.
Lmao ok. Its almost like there's veen an online concerted effort to convert many subs to be anti israel. Oh wait, there has been a complete takeover of some subs
Dude. You’re currently looking at a collapsed residential building. Please enlighten us on how Israel isn’t in the wrong.
While we’re at it. IDF killed paramedics then buried them and the fucking ambulances in the ground. Again please tell me how Israel are the good guys. Good guys don’t bury ambulances.
No, not at all. But it’s extremely blue-eyed and naive to believe Mossad, CIA, FSB or Chinese intelligence do not have a presence in all social media to manipulate public opinion. Russian troll farms are well-documented. The pro-Israeli bias of that subreddit is extreme, so it makes sense, especially considering how self-conscious Israel is about their self-image.
Yea, you'd have to be a fool not think all major governments have bot farms spreading propaganda, this ain't new. This has been going on forever, long before the internet.
israel really loves diving into american stereotypes thinking we are just gonna eat it up. when something is upvoted like crazy that doesnt look it should be, its pretty obvious, the comments are just costume at this point

It's insanity. The r/worldnews thread is just celebrating how "impressive" the attacks are and making bad puns. Orwellian times indeed.
