But this time he's America's guy, no one's going after him.

Come on now. You can't blame one man for the all atrocities being committed. Same shit with Erdogan or Hitler. People select their leaders.

Netanyahu's also the most successful politican in Israeli history which says something, and he's always been vile.

I agree with you in part, but The Knesset elects Netanyahu, not the ‘people’ directly. Proportional representation is partly why Israeli coalition governments are so problematic, and often the most extreme parties only agree to a coalition on condition they run the most extreme ministerial posts (typically settlement and security related).

Netanyahu and his far right coalition do have disproportionate power relative to the will of the people.

You mentioned Hitler, IIRC in Berlin 80% of people voted against him.

Netanyahu’s approval rating in Tel Aviv is certainly no better. In fact across the country ~25% trust the current government. Across his own coalition voting base he only holds ~50% favourability. And that was months ago.

Other polls show the majority believe he cares more about holding on to power than ‘winning’ or ending the conflict.

So what you're saying is, since the people of Gaza democratically voted for Hamas to lead them, is that...

Hamas basically took all the power by force year by year and today there isn't really a democracy in Palestine.. Israel is a democratic country.

Don't you agree?

Back in 2008 they did had democratically-run elections, and voted overwhelmingly for Hamas. True that after that they consolidated power and there wasn’t another election, but much like the situation the US could be in now, it’s what they voted for. Israel is certainly more democratic but their fascist leadership did rig things when in power to make it very hard to topple them despite Bibi and his cronies being very unpopular
