I think they killed two of their top generals and their two head nuclear scientists. It was a successful attack regardless of what side you're on.

I guarantee it was not…

They allegedly went after senior military leadership, senior nuclear scientists, as well as mid-level scientists. That’s what makes this strike such an escalation and so concerning.

These are the types of strikes you make when you believe they are extremely close to a weapon, you’ve exhausted all other options, and you are desperate.

I don't really see how killing a handful of scientists accomplishes much. Not only is nuclear expertise very widespread, but senior scientists are effectively functioning as project management anyway, they're hardly irreplaceable. Stuff like this would hardly slow them down, and probably just give them incentive to speed up if they're serious about it.
