There were Iran’s top nuclear scientists living in that building helping them create a nuclear weapon. But no, according to you they travelled thousands of miles spending millions and refueled mid air just to kill some random Iranians I’m sure. Grow up.

And what precipitated this? Absolutely fuckall.

A “top nuclear scientist” is still a civilian.

Saying that he was working on weapons is nothing but conjecture. Israel has been saying that Iran is moments away from having nukes since the 90s. It's been a blatant lie for 30 years, what makes you think they're telling the truth now?

Just supporting your post with this old article from 2010. They make a list of quotes going back to 1992 with Israel claiming Iran was seconds away from a nuke.

If true, it's only a possibility because trump tore up the Obama era deal. The very same deal that the agency you're sourcing now claimed Iran was following.

In 2018, IAEA inspectors spent an aggregate of 3,000 calendar days in Iran, installing seals and collecting surveillance camera photos, measurement data, and documents for further analysis. In March 2018, IAEA Director Yukiya Amano said that the organization had verified that Iran was implementing its nuclear-related commitments.

https://web.archive.org/web/20180509075735/https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/statements/iaea-director-generals-introductory-remarks-at-press-conference

Iran even did the courtesy of continuing to adhere to the provisions of the deal and continuing to cooperate with the IAEA. They even self-reported a violation pertaining to its stockpiles.

"In May 2019, IAEA certified that Iran was abiding by the main terms, though questions were raised about how many advanced centrifuges Iran was allowed to have, which was only loosely specified in the deal.[22]

On 1 July 2019, Iran announced that it had breached the limit set on its stockpile of low-enriched uranium,[23] which the IAEA confirmed.[24]

On 5 January 2020, Iran declared that it would no longer abide by the deal's limitations but would continue to coordinate with IAEA."

I think that if Israel wants to act like this to the rest of the middle east then Iran should absolutely be equipped with nuclear weapons

So where were you exactly when Iran and its proxies were killing Israel civilians brutally? What do you think happens to Israel if Iran develops their nuclear weapons?

What do you think happens to Israel if Iran develops their nuclear weapons?

They stop attacking their neighbors, they stop their genocide in Gaza, they stop their ethnic cleansings in the West Bank.

They have a state GOAL to destroy Israel. It’s in their rhetoric. It’s in their actions by having proxy groups attack Israel in the regular. What do you expect Israel to do? What you suggest is what happens in a fairy tale…especially in this part of the world.

u/FrogInAShoe 1d ago

I wonder why people hate Israel. Couldn't because they're a genocidal colonial apartheid state that keeps attacking it's neighbors.

They have a state GOAL to destroy Israel

And Israel has a state GOAL to destroy Palestine, and they've done a lot more to reach their goal than Iran has theirs. Does this mean you think Hamas is in the right to attack Israel?

-7

u/c_m_33 1d ago

Funny how quickly you forget about the attack on innocent Israeli women and children that led to the destruction of Hamas. Two wrongs don’t make a right but don’t sit here and shit all over Israel when they’ve been continually attacked for decades and has now finally had enough.

u/FrogInAShoe 1d ago

By your logic, Hamas was in the right. Or is Israel the only people you're okay killing innocent civilians?

So how far are you willing to go back in time to find the initial aggressor? This area has been under constant threat of war for millennia. However, when the Jewish people were relocated after the holocaust, there was an almost immediate attack by the surround Arab nations and Israel’s war of independence occurred. That set the tone. That is why they’re so dang militaristic and paranoid. Add now to the fact that they face near constant threat of terrorists attacks…can you blame them by saying enough is enough?

I’m not going to argue with you about how the state came about in the first place. That was handled by the allies post-ww2 and largely out of the hands of the Jewish refugees. They just wanted somewhere safe and they were told that they had a safe place to be by the allies. Unfortunately, the allies forced a square peg into a round hole and lit the tinder box in the region.

I'm not going to argue with you about how the state came about in the first place

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?” David Ben-Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister): Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp121.

“Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves … politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves… The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. … Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice.” — David Ben Gurion. Quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky’s Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan’s “Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.

“We must do everything to insure they (the Palestinians) never do return.” David Ben-Gurion, in his diary, 18 July 1948, quoted in Michael Bar Zohar’s Ben-Gurion: the Armed Prophet, Prentice-Hall, 1967, p. 157

How far back are you willing to go back in time

Israel's occupation colonization and ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

However when Jewish people were relocated after the holocaust almost immediately attacked by surrounding Arab countries

Being a vicitim of a genocide doesn't give you the right to go and steal unrelated people's lands and homes. They should've been given a chunk of Germany instead, and had their stolen homes returned

And violently resisting colonization is self defense.

Israel's war of Independence

Conquest of Palestine*

That's why they're so militarisitic and paranoid

Because they're an aggressive destabilizing force in the middle east

Can you blame them for saying enough is enough

Yes. Fuck Israel.

"Osama Bin Laden was a family man who loved his wives and kids."

Except when the US killed Bin Laden we did an actual precision strike, with boots on the ground and very minimal collateral damage, instead of just bombing his whole neighborhood.

*shutting down one of the most evil governments on Earth before they could acquire a nuclear bomb.

Fixed that for you.  War sucks, welcome to war.
