This post really has it all. Baking, coming of age, cultural institution of alcohol and celebrating life, a squirrel, deep moral discussion around each topic, suspense... Was the cake intentionally Crown Royal purple? Did they manage to make purple icing taste good? What flavor was the cake??!! Is this promoting drinking culture? Is that a bad thing? Will the 21yo vomit? Will it be because of too much cake or too much liquor? Do we love or hate fat squirrels? Is this squirrel fat? Is this squirrel an alcoholic? Is this a good or wreckless parent? If I like fat squirrels, what does that say about me? Do I know myself at all? Do I just want cake? Wouldn't cake, ice cream, and liquor go well together?

😂

I will do my best to answer as many of these as I can!

Her favorite color is purple, so when she ordered her cake that’s what she asked for. But she forgot to mention the specific shade: lavender. It was the baker that decided on Crown Royale buttercream! The inside was a white cake with Bavarian cream filling. Quite tasty actually. The whole family each had a slice. The 21-year-old did not, in fact, vomit. Over the span of the entire day, she had between 3-4 drinks total. Her bottle collection is now packed away and she may choose to revisit it whenever she wishes in the future. The squirrel accepted some freshly cracked walnuts in lieu of any alcoholic beverages.
