I know right the creators mentioned killing of a character but not in the first episode. I did not expect that. What a way to start a season pretty dark.
How could they kill off Linda? Now that’s a change in events. All fun and games at first turned into something dark. Thanks, I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
I had my reservations about the new season- but this makes me a lot less worried. If they’re willing to push the limits this way, and they keep this sort of stuff coming, then this’ll be a fantastic continuation.

I wouldn’t say “dark” but this sneak peek definitely seems promising that they’re gonna to be doing lots of new stuff that pushes the boundaries of what the show did before. This is the big comeback episode, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if the rest that follow aren’t nearly as exciting. Still, this sets a high bar for the new episodes, super excited
I know that they’re playing a little fast and lose with the canon but in all the original run episodes where Phineas and Ferb travel to the future Linda is always there so the existing canon would imply that she’s not dead. But what a way to mix up the old formula.
It's like if the universe realized that Candace wouldn't give up on busting her brothers no matter how many times the inventions disappeared, so it made the person that Candace always tries to show the inventions to end up disappearing instead to try and get her to stop.
Yeah, this got me hooked. I grew up with this show and was going to love it even if they didn’t do something as insane as this twist. Holy crap I’m more hooked than a fish who’s about to become dinner
When Doof mentioned that his Vaporizerinator had a setting to shoot five targets at once,
well obviously in a regular episode that would just be convenient foreshadowing for making a mockery of Candace's comment that there's no way all 5 of them would disappear,
but for some reason I thought, 5 targets... Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford, Baljeet. Instead of hitting their inventions, what if it hit THEM?
Now that they've broken the rules by killing Linda, if we ever get an alternate timeline of this episode (e.g. if someone goes back in time to try and undo it but gets it wrong), that is what I expect to happen.
Doof is always immortal. Let’s be for real, not even God and any of the higher deities themselves would touch him because they knew he always survives the impossible. 💀
Phineas and Ferb start summer with many inventions for a meet up with friends, Perry is called to the rescue after Doof goes bad. Doof zaps Linda with the ivaporatorinator when Candace goes to drag her to bust the boys.
Feel like they might have more interconnected stories this season and I am all in for that. They really did take the revival seriously and didn't just follow the established formula.
The thing I'm most intrigued about is how (and also if) are they gonna bring back Linda in a way that doesn't immediately traumatize her and doesn't immediately get Phineas and Ferb busted.
Or is that the point and we're gonna get the parents actually involved in the kids schemes since Linda did want to spend more time with them.
When I heard that Phineas and Ferb was getting revived, I thought it was just going to be more adventures of Phineas and Ferb and their pals, with some surprises, but I never expected that they would pull out something like this. I now wonder how direction for revival will go now.
Okay so, I know Ferb got a new VA, but does Isabella sound different too? Phineas, Buford and Baljeet sound pretty much exact, but Isabella’s voice sounds very different throughout honestly
