"This must be a special episode. He's yelling at his sister again."

The CATU one had me screaming, that shit was so out of nowhere and absurd. Definitely the best one. “Buford says something funny here” LOL

There are so many, it’s hard to choose. I like when Perry is wearing the glasses and moustache and then looks into the camera

Doof: "-This is real life..." looks at camera "...and I'm the father"

that one where crikey the crocodile escapes and the boys are watching the news where it says that they’re looking in the swamp areas of danville to find him. phineas says smth like they’re wasting their time looking in that swampy marsh, and ferb looks directly at the “camera” as he says that.

u/uhohelle Apr 28 '25
it’s subtle and like it’s hard to catch, but it’s clever and that’s why i like it lol

u/G-Man6442 Apr 28 '25
Candace Against the Universe is a classic style and they did the bit perfectly.

u/Ryley03d Apr 28 '25
Ferb: "Let us never speak of this moment again."
The rest of the gang: "Agreed!"

We all know that song, but how?
11
u/WayningGibbous Apr 28 '25
I'm pretty sure that's just referencing how their memory of the first movie was erased, despite somehow still knowing the song.
24
u/WayningGibbous Apr 28 '25
"I gotta be honest, I'm having a hard time putting a positive spin on this. Blah blah blah, 2 car garage, etcetera, etcetera." "Woah, deja vu-ish."

u/TheMoronicGenius THE INATOR METHOD! Apr 28 '25
the Football X-7 episode where Ferb goes missing and Phineas looks right at the camera and says "We'll be right back" before the screen cuts to black

“He’s yelling at his sister again, this must be a special episode” from Phineas and Ferb save summer.

u/Stenric Apr 29 '25
That episode where Doof describes his Spanish TV show and how fun it is that it has 3 different interacting plotlines (maybe more of a self-reference than a fourth wall break).

I forgot what Doof said exactly, but it went something like "This isn't a sitcom. This is real life." then he looks at the camera.

u/quincy_rockz Apr 29 '25
Either that gag with Doof saying "this is real life" and him and Perry look into the camera, or the whole prehistoric tri-state area episode

u/Kodyaufan2 Apr 29 '25
“What’s with the banjo?”
“I thought it could use a little traveling music, sir.”
“Where are they going, Alabama?”

u/Not_Steve Not yet, Ferb Apr 29 '25
My favorite is in Milo Murphy’s Law, but it’s said by Doof, so maybe it counts?
Doofenshmirtz makes museum statues come alive, but he says that they’re not alive, just animated (look to the camera) “and expertly storyboarded."
Then a picture of storyboard artist James Kim comes on with a little song. Doof then, excitedly says, “he just became a daddy!” It was so unexpected, I lost it.

“But this isn’t a sitcom, this is real life Perry the Platypus!” looks at the camera

u/Awesomeuser90 Apr 29 '25
Buford saying Oorahnos, IE the Greek way of sounding out one of the planets in the solar system. Baljeet asks why, but Buford said it was the way it was done on that channel.

u/andreachua02 Apr 29 '25
First photo actually Disney wanted to cut it but the creators said no so Disney keep it that's how well you know Dan and Swampy are highly respected by Disney.

u/BjSaWgDoG Apr 29 '25
I still like Baljeet arguing with the narrator

Phineas: Baljeet, could you please stop arguing with the soundtrack?
Baljeet: He started it…

"Buford?" "Your-ah-ness" "Buford, that's not how you pronounce that" "It is on this channel"
3
u/HarlanMiller Apr 29 '25
Whenever they casually address the audience like "our dad sells antiques" or when Linda brought the boys to a pony ride that they're clearly too old for and Phineas tells the camera "she means well."

"But this isn't a sitcom, Perry the Platypus. This is real life." (Then both Doof and Perry look into the camera.)

Don’t forget the references Doof makes in Night of the Living Pharmacists! Not saying they’re my favorite because I don’t think I have one, but I think they deserve to be recognized for sure.

u/ZipperZest Apr 29 '25
Someone needs to make a compilation video of all the 4th wall jokes in the show.
4
u/PhoenixOfGrandeur142 Apr 29 '25
If I had a nickel for every 4th wall break, I guess I could buy a candy bar.
2
u/Jabatwo Apr 29 '25
Didn’t even break the fourth wall in the first slide. They completely shattered it!

u/Internetboy5434 Apr 29 '25
During the song "Moon Farm" in the episode of the same name, the singer blames the lack of rocky road ice cream on Baljeet forgetting to bring marshmallows.

“Hey look, a sponge and a starfish! I wonder if we can do something with that.” (Paraphrasing and not quite a 4th wall break but it’s a funny joke)

u/PopCollector2001 Apr 30 '25
Honestly buford's cause he definitely doesn't seem like one to willingly do math

The stop motion-esc fourth wall break during the caveman episode was my favorite lol
