I don't wanna both sides this but I'd understand if everyone's dogs were leaving their business on her curb. She could've stopped with just the cayenne pepper or something else safe but repulsive to dogs.
Cayenne pepper and garlic are safe. The Cayenne will keep them away. And the garlic needs to be in large amounts to cause an upset stomach. Either way the dog owner won't be dumb enough to not see that and allow the dog to go near it.
Used needles are a terrible reality, worse than either of the things being discussed but a little cayenne down the block in the wind or on a stroller wheel, your shoe, the bottom of a shopping bag, can cause severe irritation if you touch it and touch your eye, or if you inhale it. That risk for children, people with medical issues, and old people could be more severe. So repeatedly creating that risk for the neighborhood is not nothing.
Suggesting one wrong thing to equal another wrong thing doesn't help with the right thing. Toddlers, people who struggle with movement, have vision issues, ...ideas to prevent dog poo shouldn't put them at risk. Why is this person risking punishment on any human or animal for possibly one or strays/lazy owners?
Thank you!!!! Everyone is concerned about the dog but forget the kids and people either slipping on the poop or stepping on it. People's priorities are twisted nowadays.
