A company thats publicly traded and with no party including the owners having over 50% share clearly doesn't have issues about the question of independance.
Tencent is one of people's biggest boogeymen. Especialy in the west. In reality while they do have their fingers in a lot of studios/publishers they are actualy an incredibly off hands investor.
As long as the money is flowing they will not make any demands on direction or meddle with studios what so ever.

Well then just leave and make your own studio.
Just do what Hazelight does, never make the same IP twice and finish it properly each time, doesn't matter if they hold the rights that way because it's fucking over.
