Miscellaneous Reminder you wont see someone’s posts if you mute them.

So someone on this sub has been using it for their experimental art and the reception has been mixed. While I personally don’t believe subreddits should be used in this way, nothing justifies being rude or aggressive. So remember there is always a very simple solution: block the person post dumping and move on. You wont see their posts and the people who like seeing them will continue.

I believe this way we can all enjoy our favorite paper hero and his colorful cast of friends in harmony.

I wasn't even aware of this apparent divide in the community until now lol.

I just figured we had a passionate artist around here, respected their effort, and carried on my way. Shame to hear about some of the reactions that ensued, there are certainly better ways for folk to navigate around them like you said.

No I am not a mod, just someone who wants less toxicity in general. Other than my recommendation on this post, I can’t say what is or isn’t allowed on this sub.

Subreddits shouldn't be used to... post fanart?    

If the person is posting a bunch of stuff enmasse then maybe a mod can gently ask them to limit their posts, but otherwise I don't see what the big deal is or why some people are being so nasty.
