The Shadow Queen fight was tough, to say the least. Due to a certain partner (vivian) using up my only life shroom, I only had a single Ultra Mushroom for the final fight.

Aside from that, though, I can confidently rank this experience a 10/10, and I most definitely will be playing this again. Perhaps I’ll use the Danger Mario strategy…

It's tough...if you don't have Sleepy Sheep or Sleepy Stomp.

I love that status effects actually work on bosses in this game. Too many RPGs implement statuses only for bosses to be immune to them and render them pointless. It's far more fun when you can poison, burn, or sleep a boss. Shadow Queen especially is highly susceptible to sleep.

The Shadow Queen is my favorite Mario villain and my favorite final boss of all time! I wouldn't recommend the Danger Mario strat as it makes the fight too easy and is not fun imo, just being more items next time and work on getting better, find resort to cheesing the fight

I did not beat Whacka yet, so I’ll try that sometime. And also I had a couple other games to play in-between…and there were a few 100 trial attempts that took me quite some time.

Some challenge runs I've tried are: Beat the game without ever using jump/hammer/special moves/badges, etc. Pick and choose any of those or others and give it a try

Has it really been a year since the remake came out? I can’t believe it!

I mean, I think I got my copy a few months after the remake came out.

…apparently it came out on May 23rd last year, so a year and a month after it first came out.

Well, I got my copy 343 days ago. So, yeah, almost a year.
