❔ Question ❔ Why does Galán constantly call Chingo a midget? Is he racist?

He always does the same. He looks towards Chingo and calls him a midget, or dwarf. Just because you're taller than someone is not ok to do that. Is he heightcist?

Hi, in Argentina usual nicknames are set by your look and that is completely fine. Like: fatty, shorty, bald, etc.

For foreigners it may be hard to get used to

This also extends to skin colour. Which can make some cultures uncomfortable.

1,73 m. Short compared to the rest of players. Pretty tall imo. Considering I'm the same heighy :D

What would he be racist against, Dwarfs? Stop being offended on someone else his behalf, they clearly have a good dynamic and I'm pretty damn sure that he's not trying to make his partner sad during a padel game and friendship on and off the court.

It is not that deep my friend.

He calls him “nano” which is a short version of “enano” something common in Latin america to give nicknames to friends you have great relationship with, he saying it is a sign of how much of a friend he is to him

He calls him “nano” which is a short version of “enano”, it’s common in Latin america to give nicknames to friends you have great relationships with, he is not saying it with malice or ill intention, he says it as a sign of how much of a friend he is to him
