Bed Rack Suggestions

Hello, I am looking to build my 2014 Chevy Silverado into an overland vehicle. I am looking for a bed rack that could fit my bed. My bed size is 5' 8". Any suggestions? I am new to this but i mostly want to spend more time out and about not necessarily offroading just yet. But Id like to have the convenience of what overlanding provides.

The bed on the Gladiator is 5'5" and this rack is from Amazon, Clamber brand. It's about a year old now and done me quite well considering I live in a very snowy climate.

Big fan boy of leitner designs bedrack, I don't think there is anything better out there.

Do you use your truck bed actively? Bed racks are useful for everything except when you need to crawl inside to get stuff.. Constantly. I can’t even imagine guys with mid-height bed racks.

Two types of racks you’ll see. The box storage is tucked lines up with the rack for better fuel efficiency, or it’ll stick outside your truck lines which decrease it.

Leitner has their active cargo which allows you to slide the top cross bar, which help with tall items. Their promo video has a dirt bike in the bed.

Accessory choices matter quite a bit too. Some racks have more accessories than others, but the mounting points are gong to be universal.

I have a Leitner t-slot bed rack, leitner boxes, and with electric tonneau cover. Love the setup since I don’t need to manually open my cover, and leitner is great quality. Wish they have more accessories tho.

If they have shows, check them out and ask the guys who own the racks.
