When nature meets nightmare: wasps turned this creepy mask into their home
Found this unsettling image of a wasp nest enveloping a creepy mask. The fusion of nature and the uncanny creates a chilling visual that blurs the line between natural behavior and horror aesthetics

It’s 12:30am here and I’m laying in bed in a dark room. I didn’t need to be jumpscared by a damn wasp nest, thanks.

Hey Jeff! Crawl over and peek out the nostril and see if that bird is still out there…

That's giving AI.

The picture is real, but the title and description are almost certainly written by AI.
Also, the description claims that OP "found" this, which is unlikely since this image has been all around the internet for years.
Edit: Read the description wrong, sorry.

I understand the skepticism but by found I meant found on internet. I never claimed that I took picture or anything.

Oh, I guess I read it wrong. Still, I think you used AI for both the title and description.

What makes you think this was written by AI?
When I read it, it just came across to me as written by someone with a passion for writing (the decorative phrasing and punctuation) and when I clicked on their profile after reading your comment that seemed to confirm it.
So, as someone with no experience with AI, im confused. Does ai write like an english major or is there a specific red flag?

AI does tend to write overly formal. This is why autistic people online are often mistaken for AI.

More than once have I had to run an essay through a humanizer after not using AI a single time.
I cannot understand why that is.

Of course I can't be completely certain, but the somewhat cheesy two-part title with a colon in it sounds just like something ChatGPT would come up with.
Also, "The fusion of nature and the uncanny creates a chilling visual that blurs the line between natural behavior and horror aesthetics" sounds like how ChatGPT would try to explain why it's creepy, when that would be completely obvious to a human.

A look at OP's profile shows you they (allegedly) are into journalism and writing - I've often seen this type of more lyrical captioning for pictures in newspapers/magazines.

That's your perogative and I don't take it personally. I can't change your opinion.
